It may not have been posted here, but I've seen this in different places at least a half-dozen times over the years. It's just some idiot's creative-writing/magic thinking project that keeps getting picked up by more and more dreamers.

As you say, it couldn't hurt. (It hurts my brain, but I'll get over it....)

1 would think that would be access provided from cosmic council of some sort. So the knock would actually be like a response to pre history set EA*RTH / TERRA guidelines resent through time/mail. In the form of interactions and or species upgrades that as mentioned may already be going on behind the scenes but now just being allowed in open, perhaps. But 1 understood your point.

It would be more logical to assume that the message, if genuine, would have been transmitted to a person, who chose a blog as his/her medium to spread it further. Unless the message directly states that aliens literally wrote it on a computer and put it on a blog, it is completely irrational to assume that that is what is being put forth.

Did that really need to be explicitly stated?

I would say, it might just be complete BS, BUT, what if it is not, saying no to unselfish help is probably what "the others" with the "bad intentions" would do, no?
Better to recognize that the world is in shambles and needs help, why not ask for it and say yes. Worst case scenario, nothing happens.

Ha ha, do you know what's funny about your post? Everytime I get kind of creeped out while looking at the stars through my telescope, or get one of those cold shivers I always think " Please, don't startle me. I don't mind meeting you, but please knock before you enter." This is the same thing I say when a thought of spirits or aliens pops in my head. I'm not sure I believe, but I'm not a complete disbeliever either. Skeptically cautious, I suppose. I think this would be neat if true, but why a blog???

Less logical to send it directly to SETI or someone known and whose word is respected????

When you google 'do you wish that we show up?' you get more than one billion entries. There has been a petition for this message with people signing from all over the world. There exists plenty of videos and forums speaking about this message in more than 20 languages that also appear in the blog. The blog you are speaking about has popped up in november 2012!

So, this message is known worldwide.

Yep, thanks for clarifying this to the others, i still think that even if you do not believe it, there is no harm in trying to get some help. Of course, if "they" have hidden agendas, then... we are scre***! lol

Perhaps just a bit of creative writing, but if they are truly telepathic then they would know my answer is yes.

It is clear your response is a strawman argument arising from the fallacious logic of quoting out of context. If you look at the directly following sentence from the one you quoted, youll realize if you try that your response is nonsensical when the entire quote is taken in the correct and obvious context it was meant to be taken in.
