Father Immanuel Dabaghian, one of Baghdad’s last surviving priests, is expecting a quiet Christmas. To join him in the Church of the Virgin Mary means two hours of security checks and a body search at the door, and even then there’s no guarantee of survival. Islamist gunmen massacred 58 people in a nearby church last year, and fresh graffiti warns remaining worshippers that they could be next.

Silent Persecution of Christians

Of the country’s 1.4 million Christians, about two thirds have now fled. Although the British Government is reluctant to recognise it, a new evil is sweeping the Middle East: religious cleansing. The attacks, which peak at Christmas, have already spread to Egypt, where Coptic Christians have seen their churches firebombed by Islamic fundamentalists. In Tunisia, priests are being murdered. Maronite Christians in Lebanon have, for the first time, become targets of bombing campaigns. Christians in Syria, who have suffered as much as anyone from the Assad regime, now pray for its survival. If it falls, and the Islamists triumph, persecution may begin in earnest.

More power, more persecution

Middle East analyst Theodore Shoebat’s concern is what Morsi’s power grab means for Egypt’s Christians. He references two regimes – one ancient, one modern – to illustrate what happens when leaders opposed to Christianity take control. “Before Nero inflicted a full persecution on the church, he at first seized full control of the Roman government,” Shoebat said. “In order for us to comprehend how Christians will be eventually persecuted under a Muslim Brotherhood Egypt, we must look to North Sudan, a country also run by a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, Omar al-Bashir,” he continued. “Bashir has committed a genocide of millions of Christians all in the name of jihad. And he, like Morsi, also believes that the Quran must be the constitution of his country,” Shoebat said. Shoebat said he sees no reason to believe Morsi will not follow the model of both Nero and al-Bashir. “The same will happen in Egypt. Once Morsi makes sure that he is officially a dictator, then a full out persecution of the Copts will occur,” Shoebat said. Shoebat said a small hint of Morsi’s intentions was revealed in the president’s response to the investiture of the new Coptic pope. “Lets not forget, Morsi refused to attend the ceremony for the Coptic Pope Tawadros II – this is quite the indication of his hatred for the Christian population,” Shoebat said. Why are Christians so quick to shout bloody murder when they're persecuted? I guess they only like doling it out huh?

I guess if two thirds of your friends-family had fled, fleeing murder, you would be silent? Yeah, right!!!
When was the last time Christians caused two thirds of people to flee. But in barbaric Islam, this is standard practice.

The persecution of Christian’s is a direct consequence of so many American Christians voting for war happy candidates. It’s also because people fail to take lessons from history: Democracy in a tribal society, does not work, it only leads to the replacement of one "strong form" of government with another.
Nowhere on earth is there literally a single exception to this rule, South Africa is kinda close, but it’s virtually a one party ANC state.
Egypt has got rid of a corrupt dictator, but when you look at tribalisms-Islam's relationship with history, it's really no surprise they are about to replace him with a corrupt, extremists. When in the 1950's-1960's Europe set free it's former colonies with governments, it did not take long for these new democracies to turn into dictatorship for exactly the same political-cultural forces we see in play today. Needless to say every dictator likes a scapegoat, Christians fit the bill.

This just proves either :-

1) Islam is pure evil
or
2) Non-religious 'have-nots' gladly use religion to steal stuff from the 'haves'

yeah cause just last week I saw a bunch of baptists burning down a mosque, and throwing acid in a kids face for not listening to there parents. Christians in America really need to stop persecuting non believers, they keep voting in war mongering hate filled Christians like Obama. who keeps sending in troops to the middle east to kill the poor defenseless Islamist.

Show me an article where a legitimate (not 4 or 5 crazy cult people) group of Christians has burned down, killed, run out a group of people within the last 20 years. "christian KKk people" don't count either cause there idiots cause Jesus was a Jew.

I could show you thousands of Christian groups that are running slef-improvement and economic improvement programs around the world. I have never seen a statistic that shows the percentage of Christian, Muslim, Bhuddist, Hindu, Jewish, Other religious and secular aid in the world. Wouldnt that be interesting?

However, the post you were answering is indicative of the future of Christian persecution, it tries to paint Christians as the radical fundamentalists who need to be feared. Think how they tried to paint Breivik as a christian. Preppers are being protrayed as christians who are crazy.

The gnostic gospels based attack on Christianity is almost over, the next wave will be (using a similar method) from the apocolyptic literatur. They (the pseudo-scholars) are going to say that Jesus was not a pharisee, not a saducee, not a Herodian, so he must have been an sssene, and they were the crazy fringe dwellers that stirred up the revolt against Rome, which caused the daispora of the Jews, and so they are bad news and look at how Christians are so radical and apocalyptic in thier views (Preppers, that family radio guy, Waco, Westborough, Breivik, etc), these guys are the real threat to humanity, they wont accept the mark of the beast, and so are not environmentaly freindly (which stems from thier belief that world will end and that God has given them the command to dominate the world).... you get the idea?

Two stars and five flags.

Yet if you start bashing Israel for refusing to bow to international pressure, then you get a lot of back-slapping, cheers, flags & stars, and a load of ignorant replies about 'peaceful' Muslims in the vicinity of Israel.

Nobody remembers that Israel is a tiny Jewish state in a vast sea of hostile Islamist nations - nations who could have aided the Palestinians properly decades ago, but didn't - in the hope that 'Palestinian refugees' would eventually return to Palestine with all their descendants, to crowd out the Israelis. Nobody cares about the Christians under persecution, because Christians respect and revere their Jewish heritage - and the Jews are Israel, right? And nobody in their right mind likes Israel, because those Jewish nazis persecute Muslims. HINT - they don't, it's all a psy-op, the truth covered over to suit specific interests.

Sadly, the 'religious right' in the USA, full of hypocrites, bigots & unthinking folk, with no clue about anything other than the religious right and its cliches - have tainted the reputation of Christianity. In tandem with this issue of 'pseudo-persecution of Muslims' (..Israel in its rightful defensive / aggressive position), this 'religious right' has played a massive role in desensitizing critically-minded folk across the world, as regards Christians and the type of lifestyle they lead.

As a result of these two factors, nobody cares about the excellent work of Christians in charitable activities across the socio-economic landscape in every nation. Nobody cares that Israel have won 150+ Nobel peace prizes. Christians are bigots, Jews kill children in airstrikes.

****

NB - the defensive/aggressive posture of the Israelis is absolutely necessary, due to underhanded military tactics employed by their sworn & mortal enemies, the Jihadist Islamists. Deception & misery-inducing terror tactics = standard ops for a Jihadist, and so the Israelis have difficult decisions to make, almost every day, as regards how they can repel the vicious Cerberus at the door. The enemy surrounds them on all sides - multiple 'chains' of hostile nations, stretching across the horizons. Vast swathes of humanity who are violently opposed to Judaism, committed to the destruction of Israel, or to supporting those who will destroy it. Not all Muslims hate Jews, but many do.

People don't understand that violence is at the core of Islam. Instead, they point to the warfare of the Old Testament and scream that the Jews are bloodthirsty savages (despite concrete theological and historical evidence that they are, and always have been, the most consistently & violently persecuted peoples in the entire world..) Warfare was on the cards from the beginning, simply because the Jews had to compete in such ways in order to survive - they were, and remain passionate about the preservation of their traditions/ the revelations they were assigned to protect & disseminate.

Modern Israeli warfare is made much more difficult/ traumatic/ psychologically damaging; almost self-defeating, in terms of information spread - because the Muslim aggressors use civilians (particularly children) as human shields in their subversive campaigns. They deliberately base their ops in & around neighbourhoods with high concentrations of civilians, in order that they can manipulate the 'grief response' which naturally follows when a (militarily necessary) airstrike kills women & children.

It's a taqqiyah principle of warfare - deception, & the manipulation of factors arrayed in their favour, for the advancement of their cause - demonic psy-ops.

The airstrikes publicly displayed as having killed children, those images we're all so saddened and wearied by on our news networks - those same airstrikes often take out senior Jihadist commanders/ troops/ bomb-makers/ weapons stores (etc..) However, the propaganda machinations are well-rehearsed, and the Jihadists will never confess to having lost significant numbers of their own forces - they'll only ever point the news cameras at the coffins of children.

Israel needs to make very difficult decisions, and sometimes the innocent perish; however, if the Jihadists were allowed to operate without the Israelis taking decisive actions - even those actions with hideous secondary consequences - then Israel would have been vaporised a long, long time ago.

The war in the ME is tragic, and terrible - but it will continue, because nobody has the right to claim that a small nation, isolated in a sea of opposition, is not allowed to exist. That is what the coordinated Jihadists of nations surrounding Israel claim, and that is their aim - the destruction of the Jewish state. Significant psychological victory would be achieved if they could destroy Israel, but even then they wouldn't stop there - they'd sweep over the earth like a deadly cloud, until nothing remained but '7th Century-style' fundamentalist Islam.

Hey OP

Let me give you a little inside info on muslims

Muslims in Middle East were no different from any other group of people on the Planet Earth

Just like Romans, just like British, just like Spanish, muslims too had their
empires that failed, their religion and way of life.

But then When United States and Russia started to use other countries as pawns
in their game of cold war. CIA went into Afghanistan and spent serious money
and Psy-Ops to create Jihadists called Mujaheddin back then in the 1970s

THIS MAN with his CIA buddies

Even went as far as changing books for schoolchildren turning them into religious
fanatics, and sending them like dogs against Soviet Tanks. And by the way Soviets
entered Afghanistan after their learned CIA was there big time. Not that Soviets needed
a big reason to respond.

And of course taking Palestine and calling it new country Israel didn't help the
matter, nor did it help when Israel started expanding little by little for decades.

There

You take muslims

Put them in a meat grinder

And you won't like what comes out

LOL. Seriously? Ever hear of the Inquisition? The Crusades? Manifest Destiny? The Missionaries? The Reformation?

Historically speaking the "barbarians" are the Christians and the enlightened folk who act like actual human beings are the Muslims. However this changed in the 20th century do to Western Europe, Russia's and the US's systematic shattering of the region, the culture, and the people.

and throwing acid in a kids face for not listening to there parents.

Correct. Charles Fuqua of the Arkansas GOP just wants to straight-up execute unruly teenagers instead "because the bible says so".

Christians in America really need to stop persecuting non believers, they keep voting in war mongering hate filled Christians like Obama. who keeps sending in troops to the middle east to kill the poor defenseless Islamist.

This is the first correct statement you have made thus far.

Show me an article where a legitimate (not 4 or 5 crazy cult people) group of Christians has burned down, killed, run out a group of people within the last 20 years. "christian KKk people" don't count either cause there idiots cause Jesus was a Jew.

Well...anybody who would engage in those sorts of activities would be, by definition. part of a "crazy cult" and/or "illegitimate"...it's kind of like how when the Muslims claim to be the "religion of peace" and simply declare that all the killings and terrorist attacks aren't "real Muslims". The fact of the matter is that they ARE "real Muslims" just like Christian nutters are "real Christians". This is why religion is so dangerous.

So...if the first two articles weren't enough...here are some more.

Christians kill dozens of peaceful Muslims
www.christianitytoday.com...

Seven mosques and one Muslim cemetery in the US attacked by Christians.
religion.blogs.cnn.com...

Baptist Pastor Charles Morley calls for rounding up homosexuals and placing them in concentration camps until they all die...just like Adolf Hitler quite literally did with German homosexuals. Note the standing ovation from a couple thousand of his congregation...is that "legitimate" enough for you?
www.youtube.com...

A 28 yr old stones a 70-yr old homosexual man to death in Pennsylvania "because the bible says so".
ibloga.blogspot.com...

Here's an excerpt from the documentary "Jesus Camp" which shows us how THOUSANDS Evangelical Christians actually PAY GOOD MONEY to have their children mentally and emotionally tortured.
www.youtube.com...

.....Not much of a difference after all...IS THERE???

later in rome, the imperial church (vatican) was intent upon killing every sincere christian, starting with those who took seriously jesus's admonition to NEVER glorify any mortal being nor call any human your spiritual 'father'. catholic fascists commanded: "call me 'father' and obey me as your god -- or die horribly!"

any church with a 'pope' is anti-christ. doesn't justify their murder, though, by any means.
