"Should" in your mind at least. Not everyone agrees, especially those who have to PAY for it for everyone else. Socialism is taking something from some people and giving it to others. It is NOT fair, nor equitable by any means. It is redistribution of income by force. It is one faction(the Proletariat or the ruling Elite) deciding how to spend other people's(the bourgeoisie middle class merchants) money. You totally bought the lie that everything will be fair by equalizing the income.
Look, if you went to a friend and said You buy a bag of M and M's with YOUR money, then bring me the bag, and we will evenly divide up all the M & M's in the bag, so that each of us will have our fair share of the candy, do you think your friend would think it was fair?

It doesn't matter if it is healthcare, or foodstamps, or welfare for unmarried women with lots of children, or Section 8 housing for the poor, or emergency services for illegals, or cash for clunkers, or cash for gun-kers, it's all the same thing, someone has to pay up.

I really have no clue what you're talking about, but I do get a sense that you don't like your fellow American citizens. I've only proposed that our taxes should cut military spending and instead give that money for the development of free education, health, and energy. If you were poor, like me, maybe you could see that those three things are the most crippling burdens on us. I know the bourgeoisie may not like the poor to ever be healthy, educated, and have no utility bills, while crying about what is fair in their deluded minds, but there are many more tears flowing from people around the world who have had their parents and siblings murdered by this very unfair U.S. military imperialism.

You are promoting a socialist system of "free education and healthcare" and you say you don't know what I am talking about? If you are going to promote something you should at least understand it. You don't konw what I am talking about because you truly don't understand that thing which you are promoting and believe in. You have never thought it out logically, you only follow that which the socialist engineers have pushed through class warfare. You are indeed one of those people who just believed what the engineers push as solutions.

All you have to do is take the simple example of socialism which I provided (the supposed even distribution of M & M's) and use it as the model for everything else. If you can't follow that simple logic, I just don't know what to say.
You say you just want to redirect money we would spend on military to such things as education. Well, when will it ever be enough? We spend way more on education than ever, and yet it is not enough. Why? because they are spending it on stupid social engineering programs and even diabolical stuff like the values clarification used to get children to think what it is like to commit suicide. If you think that is not happening with our tax dollars, you might research it. If you are honest, you will find that I am right about this.

What Sarah Brady wants is gun control. That's what she and her husband work toward and have since the Hinkley assassination attempt on Pres. Reagan in 1981. That is her ONLY issue. BTW she and her husband are not liberals, they are conservatives. She used to work for the RNC and he was Pres. Reagan's Press Sec'y until he was shot. Unless they have changed drastically politically they were never anything but conservatives.

Any conditions placed on a right negates it being a right.

It then becomes an allowance granted by the nation-state.

I would strenthen the laws and reduce the type of assault weapons available. What we call assault weapons were not part of the framework of the constitution. There have been periods in history where there was stricter gun control and we did not become communist.

When will these massacres end and what will you do to stop it? Or is it OK?

Let's see...you don't mind that a large percentage of taxes go to a world-wide military to control and murder people who have never even attacked this country, but because I propose that this world-wide military should cease, and the money spent upon the American people, I am somehow promoting something unfair to the rich?? You're just one of those self-absorbed rich people, aren't you? Lacking empathy, morality, and any concern for the plight of your country.

The massacres will never end. Unfortunately. Sick people will always find a way to harm others.

Why are so many against free education?

Im from Norway, a country that many of you probably will call socialist.

I got my free education at universitylevel. Works like a charm. Ive got a job wich pays around 100k USD a year because of this. Its so worth paying taxes because of it.

A familymember has cancer, his treatment is free. Is this a bad thing??

And I still have my freedom of speach and to do as I please. We dont have a delay on live TV in case a boob or two should pop out.

And we actually have a weapondensity of 36k guns pr 100k inhabitans.

Dont take this as an attack on the american way. I have nothing against USA. Been there once, great country IMO.

There is nothing wrong with a free education if the government does not have to borrow the money for it. It is not really free if you have to overburden the taxpayer to do it. Norway is such a teenie tiny country. I can't really see a comparison given the numerous issues large populations have to deal with.

No but it reduced the numbers who woul dhave gone above the speed limit. Some people actually try to live within the laws of the state. This does not make them sheeple merely law abiding. Tighter gun control as has occured in the past will reduce the level of incidents and the type. I would ban assaault weapons.

What would you do just sit on your hands??

Theres is a difference in size yes. But the difference in taxincome should be somewhat proportional. Your military budget is probably way bigger than the entire Norwegian budget.

And like some other poster wrote, why not cut back on military spending and use it on the people? More education = more development = more income = higher BNP. A win win situation.

Well we have a lot more people trying to kill us so a larger military is needed. Our military might was started out of Europes need. Not ours. Now we are hated globally. No doubt our government screwed up a few times to get us tagged as war mongers but the American people are peace loving.

Socialism has a few different forms. You aspouse to know which form the current or next administration would choose? Or would they just play it by ear and see what they get? Their version may look nothing like what you envision.

Creating Socialism in America is impossible as long as the Second Amendment exists.

Where did you get this idea from? There are many socialist countries where gun ownership is allowed and encouraged.

And seeing how you hate socialism so much then you of course don't use any of the socialist services that are used in this country.
