About two years ago, as I was sitting in my high school science class, I over heard a peer younger than myself saying she eats a small serving of chocolate chip cookies with milk before bedtime, with the end result being she has pleasant dreams... so I was curious... does chocolate stimulate the brain into having pleasant dreams? I know chocolate can stimulate the pleasure receptors in the brain, so I wouldn't doubt the notion of chocolate before bedtime could in fact produce pleasant dreams? Are there any other foods or methods that could stimulate the brain into producing dreams that are soothing? Are there also any methods as well to remember dreams? I know a few from watching "Waking Life," as well as a dream journal... lucid dreaming and whatnot, but I'd also like to know any other tactics, as my dreams tend to be rather vivid, but I fail to recollect any data other than bits and pieces. It's more like when I wake up from my slumber it's, "DAMN! THAT WAS ONE HELLUVA DREAM!"
