It's so neat to see this. It's such a rare event and now we can see it on video.

LOL... This thread is total BS. The planets aren't aligned. Also our sun passed through the galaxy middle alignment about 3 million years ago. It happens about every 22-26 million years? So no alignment there.

The only alignment I see is in your first picture OP.

I myself was curious about the alignment, so I did a little charting. There are 6 planets trine which is an angle of 120° (1/3 of the 360° ecliptic). I started the chart from 12/20/12 at 11:50 and went minute by minute to 12/22/12. There was nothing showing planets in straight alignment, a few conjunctions ( an angle of approximately 0-10°) and only one opposition (an angle of 180° (1/2 of the 360° ecliptic). Nothing out of the normal in my opinion.
