sound like a safe configuration to me. What if a micro-meteor punctures a hole in the spacesuit, or the "space port" malfunctions, will the whole
space station lose air? If I were an astronaut I'd probably prefer the airlock to climbing into a spacesuit that presents the only border between the
station and the vacuum of space.
