Why do you keep saying "spit"? And why is no one taking the future seriously? Because they are all going to be complaining when the future becomes the present and they don't like how it looks.

Kinda like these older people complaining about the economy. They're the ones who molded it with their power of citizenship, and they chose poorly. Whose fault is that?

So when the time comes, don't bother complaining. We have the power, it's up to us to use it. And that's really what this thread is about. It's time to stop relying on things outside of us and start looking within for the answers, because the future waits for no one. And there's no better time to start making the future than the present.

This is supposed to be a "new age" because we're supposed to be MAKING a "new age". Go ahead and relax, but that better world we're supposed to be building won't make itself.

If you want to talk about necessary change you can choose from a thousand threads on ATS alone where people discuss, lament, and bemoan the need to change. As far as I'm concerned talking about the "need for change" on a thread predicting doomsday on a particular date and time is completely off-topic. In this thread the OP is simply trying to slither out from beneath what he said would happen with a "re-interpretation" of what this "change" actually was. I think it is completely disingenuous.

I was talking about people killing themselves because they thought the world was ending. That statement in the quoted selection, you said that yourself. I never said anything about any children. If children were involved, then the adults (again) are better off gone. Imagine what else they could have done. So go ahead, assume I'm a bad person and be ashamed. You don't know me, so your shame is unfounded and unneeded. Not that I really care. There's a lot of people that don't like me for various reasons, and none of them have taken the time to understand me and where I'm coming from. Have you lived a day in my shoes? No? Then whence cometh thy judgment?

The OP, AGAIN, is about change coming to this world. Spiritual evolution, doors opening, opportunity to rise beyond our material shackles, etc. As I was saying to someone the other day, written and spoken words tend to put the ideas they convey into a box, where the idea is unable to develop and evolve with our understanding of their applications.

And so it is with the phrase "end of the world." The whole destruction of the planet idea was never suggested, people just assumed. And my, do we have a lot of donkeys running around now. My whole idea was change. Just like this thread.

You may not have to agree with what people say about "reality", but they're entitled to their beliefs. All I see here is someone trying to inspire people, and a number of folk who can't accept the fact that there are people who think differently than they do.

This thread was posted with the sentiment that the upcoming years provide a plethora of opportunities to grow in unprecedented ways. Everyone else is jumping on top of the OP declaring, "The world has not ended! You're full of crap! We're happy that nothing has changed! Yay!"

I'm looking at it as, "Oh yay, you mean we get to look forward to a hundred more years like 2012? More shootings, bombings, political intrigue, religious fear-mongering, economic failures, and third world starvation? Sounds amazing!"

Am I a bad person for that? In contrast to your above statement, my concern comes from seeing a future more concerned with spreading death and fear than promoting life and understanding.

I'm not sure where you're going with this, but one incident of someone in the past using inspiration for evil (Jonestown) does not make inspiration itself evil. Any tool can be used for evil or good, leadership and oratory skills included. I don't see any evidence the OP has done anything other than try to inspire people for good. I'm not endorsing the message, but rather pointing out that unless you have actual evidence of sinister intentions in *this* circumstance, it's not right to throw around speculation of sinister intentions.

So see, just because the world isn't ending yet, doesn't mean trouble isn't afoot. This is my entire point. While the OP was approaching it from a different angle, there's still plenty of work to keep us busy. The continued survival of this planet just means we have more time to do what needs to be done.

And that's my definition of "New Age": a better system and better world for everyone involved.

Here we go again, back and forth with the gloating and white knighting to save others from the dangers of alternative thinking.

There have been stories for years about experiments where a clear plate is placed in a fish tank and left for an extended period. When the plate is removed, the fish generally remain on their respective side of the tank. The same thing happens when you put gnats in a covered jar for a while, and then remove the cover. Only a few adventurous creatures emerge, but the bulk of them remain in their self-imposed isolation from the rest of the universe. One of the primary attributes possessed by those few adventurous individuals who escape the jar is awareness (awareness of the jar, the top and a sense of “potential beyond the top”) that exceeds that of the general population. What happened to the fish in the tank and the gnats in the jar? Somehow, their original intent, freedom and nature was subverted by something else, first imposed from an external source and then willingly, but unconsciously, self-imposed with equal vigor in deference to the perceived existence of the status quo.

In relation to the cult argument I would say that the kool aid the masses have been drinking for generations has done far more harm than a few willing idiots that placed another person between themselves and their True Self.

Look at what the elites have sold the masses in their false wars on communism and terror. They transformed good people into murderers to play out their games in order to further their own selfish agendas. They were forced to look alike, act alike and not to question what they were doing. So many wasted and tortured lives. Pawns in a game they didn't create because they did not exercise their free will to perceive the bigger picture. Once your mind is divided it is much easier to manipulate especially in the hands of those who have been playing this game for a long time. The biggest threat to the elite is that we wake up to from their schemes and to do that we need to perceive the bigger scene. The choice is ours. We can do along with the game; drink, breed, conform, consume, belittle those who are in tune to a greater perception and act like gnats in jar or we can quiet our minds and see what else is possible.

I don't think it would be illogical to assume that you completely ignored my last few posts, and that you are continually pushing your assumption based on a few quotes that were misrepresented by none other than yourself.

Your ignorance is more and more profound, but that's okay. According to Apocryphon and his messages, the time has come for you to work on that in depth.

As stated by Aristotle, you don't have to accept an idea to hold it in your hands and look it over carefully so you have a complete understanding of what you might accept, disregard, or set aside for future contemplation.
