December 21, 2012 - The End of the World, or not... **ALL MEMBERS Please Read**

Why should this prediction be any different than any other? A lot of people made a claim, why should they not have their noses rubbed in it? It was stupid claim. It's like running around crapping your pants because december is the last page on your calender.... "NO MORE PAGES, HOLY CRAP THE END OF THE WORLD!!!!!!~1"

We're edgy, out-of-the-box, alternative thinkers...sometimes that means, on occasion, we get it wrong.

And that needs to be okay since we're also such an awesome community.

Anyone that doesn't stick by the civility and decorum terms of ones membership can expect the same as any other day. With the advent of one of the owners of this fine website asking us to "all play nicely in the sand-pit" and not do a Finger-pointing post, it isn't really that hard to adhere to his request.

If you feel you need an outlet, there are literally 1000's of other websites that you can go release that pent-up stress at. But not here at ATS please...

Totally agree with the request. As someone stated before there are so many threads right now on the subject it is actually boring.

We do not need 100 new posts all stating the obvious over and over again. There are so many real topics to discuss that to waste the "I told ya so" over and over only takes away from real topics we could be discussing.

I am glad to see ATS taking the problem seriously, and distancing the boards away from this. As already stated there are many other boards discussing it .....go there.

Thank you Sir! I'm so glad that this is now going to be quickly behind us and maybe, just maybe this community can get back to the diversity of subjects that attracted me to ATS in the first place.

In my time here on ATS which paralleled my fall into the conspiracy rabbit hole I've believed many things that I later decided were untrue.

This date will be significant to me for the rest of my life no matter what happens. I think the community here is the best source of news and debate on any topic that can or does not exist. That's an infinite number of possibilities.

Thanks to everyone on ATS. You all are the reason I come here.

I think it would be a lot more productive to be proactive, and create one big thread in the 2012 forum called "The official 'I told you so' Thread"

It bothers me that there are people on ATS who actually WANT to post "I Told You So" threads.. I mean, it's ATS... Doomsday is what we do! Almost every thread in the Archive is in one way or another associated with how we will destroy our selves or how some out side force will destroy us!

I think it sucks that Springer felt the need to make this thread and REMIND us to be civil. I'm not bashing you hommie, I'm just saying.

In short, this web site has no shortage of CRAZY! I can't even imagine why someone who believes in chemtrails or UFO's but not the apocalypse would think that an I told you so thread would be of any benefit! Like seriously! We all believe something different!

This is ATS. Its where we talk about the apocalypse. Like Jonny said, there's plenty of web sites out there to spew the negative comments. Here on ATS, 2012 will just be replaced with the next crazy end of the world fad...

There is nothing cosmically happening today or tomorrow, and hope nothing happens down the line for earth, however.

Its 11 11 London time, so 3 11 am pacific, 6 11 am tomorrow morning east coast. That will be in just less than 9 hours basically.

I agree that no one should act like some idiotic child if we're still alive and the world is still turning on Saturday. That said, can all 2012 doom and gloom posts be automatically sent to a 2012 HOAX bin never to see the light of day again?

Perhaps when you click on the 2012 forum, that Nelson kid from the Simpsons can pop up and say, "HA, HA."
