Evil is trying to do a deed in such way that afterwards there should be by noone rememberance of the deed. Doing this is foolish cause it is impossible. I repent. I hope it won't kill me.

The word 'evil' is more a reflection of the person than the act, object, or creature being described. If you were to call an axe evil, that says more about you than it does about the axe, especially when someone else gladly takes it up and starts making firewood to keep their family warm.

Sin is an opportunity to learn. Hating sin is like hating a test - the only reason to hate it is because you either weren't prepared, or didn't care to learn. Such a flawed species must learn from mistakes, and we call these mistakes sins.

The bible clearly says refrain from sin. Born sinful but therefore not born to sin.

If you don't want to hear other opinions, then don't start a thread in a public forum. It's not that hard to grasp.

Don't come back will ya, yes.

I'll keep coming back with my opinions just to show you that ATS isn't exclusive. If you don't like people disagreeing with you, then don't offer a subject up for debate. I'm more than willing to admit it when you have a point, but I won't cater to your ego. I don't think I'm alone in that, either.

Such a nice poem Ben81, still not God?

See, the hidden meaning of the title of my thread is: Katey Gore, rising sin and evil.
Thank you.

Let's break it down for the spectators. Your original post in this thread made a statement of opinion, outlining an unofficial definition, and then implying that others would be foolish not to agree with you. Right there, you have shut down opposing opinions without even considering them.

My response detailed the opinions that I currently hold, and I explained them quite nicely. You then refuted my post by indicating that the Bible is the sole authority in defining the terms "evil" and "sin", even though these words are not owned or copyrighted by your religious leaders. In response, I pointed out that if you are averse to hearing contradictory opinions in the matter, then you shouldn't post to this forum. Go to a Christian forum or something, where you can state your opinion as fact and it will be swallowed without question because that's what everyone else was taught as well.

Now that I've outlined the general procession of your thread thus far, who is more unwilling to "hear others opinions"? Me, or you?

I'll let ATS decide. It's not like they can't form their own conclusions.

Women are flat.

I totally agree with you afterinfinity and Ben81. In all aspects of your life.

I need to feel sorry, again. That doesn't mean I see sin as something to learn from so I can abuse it in as it is a neverending spiral.

I never said this. I said it is an opportunity to learn, like a test. Tests are necessary, but you don't repeat them. You learn the material, you pass the exam, you move on to more complicated stuff. Of course, one should take into consideration that morals were never so clearly defined as grammar or mathematics.

Would you much rather come out of the womb knowing everything you would have ever learned? What is the point of life then? To just exercise what you already know, never experiencing anything new or going through the joy and sorrow of achievement and failure? This is what it means to live. What you seem to be describing is nothing more than an existence of service, focusing less on learning for yourself and more on making someone else happy. Now, who would that be?

But is it right to call this 'making mistakes' sinning? I stay by my conviction sins are nothing to learn from. I mean, sins aren't 'made' to learn from. You insinuate sins are something one needs to do and is inevitable in life, this is not right. What you may be up to might not be a sin AfterInfinity.

Think of it as justice. God made his men slaughter hundreds. For what, cause he knew what they were up to and to make sure the others weren't the first, for they would have slaughtered God's men. Things were different then? But then again the bible says not to interrupt someone out to do evil.

complex? difficult.

God didn't kill these men himself, but His men.. Now this is difficult. I might be thinking wrong words on a

You lie. You get caught. You learn not to lie because you see how it harms yourself and others.

You steal. You get caught. You learn not to steal because you see how it harms yourself and others.

You punch someone. You get punched back. You get disciplined for hurting someone, and you see how it harms yourself and others.

You speak rudely of someone. You are corrected for it. You see how it harms yourself and others.

How do you think we learn? From experience. Sometimes, the hardest the lessons are the most effective. Sins are not inevitable, you say, but are we not sinners by nature? Does that not mean we must sin in order to learn what sin does? Carpenters hit their thumbs with hammers, they learn to swing more effectively. Electricians get shocked, they learn to handle wires more effectively. A painter makes a mistake, he learns to pay more attention. A cook spoils a soup, he learns that these ingredients do not go well together in such proportions.

Edison says that he never failed, he just found a thousand ways that didn't work. What do you think sin is? A way of doing things that doesn't work because in the end, you pay for it. Because mistakes are demonized, we believe that imperfections are evil. This isn't right. Imperfection is the best kind of perfection, because I'd rather spend eternity as an imperfect being than a life time as a perfect being. What is there to do when you can do anything? No challenge, no triumph, no achievement, no pride, no nothing. There is nothing to occupy your time because nothing occupies your time. Everything is bland and mediocre.

Perfection is blah. It's factory. It's the science of being a drone. No personality, no flavor, pure existence. It's imperfection that makes life interesting and unique. Hence, the necessity for sin. We are a learning species. We cannot learn without something to learn from.

s can't realy follow. I open my heart when I speak. You just don't understand I am a man of integrity. This might not be for you Afterinfinity, but you keep on making my words hurt ones who these words aren't meant for.

I suppose I didn't believe in the fact I realy can help it. Can I? I can?

I have trouble forgiving for what they've done. I guess I can't remain perfect anymore without.. yeah, what, without what? hehe, I don't know. Is it magic, is it a curse? From now on solitude seems to be the only way out.

its always others the problem .. never you

heard that many times and it is so wrong

make a you-turn on that and try to have it with others
so others can have it with you

retake control of your emotions and your thoughs ..
try to balance them on a positive note

God or Jesus CANT help you with that .. so dont wait for them to help you out
YOU only can help yourself

You are your own savior .. give yourself a chance
recognise your mistakes and you will recognise your sins
then you will be able to evolve and follow the correct path of life
which is living with LOVE

remember that Love is fearless while hate is fearfull !
