edition.cnn.com...

So apparently the coroner who ruled that Amy Winehouse's death was accidental alcohol poisoning recently resigned due to questions about her legal credentials. This has lead to a new inquest by British authorities into what caused Winehouse's death. There was no illegal drugs found in her system at the time, however, they did find alcohol levels far above the lethal level. So will they find anything different this time a year later?

For me this was a sad and unexpected death last year, especially due to the fact that it occurred after her latest release from rehab and right before her comeback tour. Some have even compared this death to Michael Jackson's death right before his comeback tour, which has created some suspicions by conspiracy theorists into whether it truly was an accidental death or not. Also adding to the speculation over this death is the fact that she joined the 27 club.

So does anyone think they will find anything different this time around or will it come down to the same verdict of accidental alcohol poisoning? Personally, I would not be too surprised either way. Either way this brings memories back of sad death.

Unexpected? I should have put a bet on her being dead before 30.

Maybe for both of you it wasnt and you dont care, but for me it was. Especially, since I try to see the best in people and I fought through 5 years of addiction and was able to pull through. So, I thought there was still hope and I was surprised. Agree to disagree that is your opinion.

Her death was not big surprise, but it sure seemed destined that way given the media attention. I feel that another well known personality Lindsay Lohan is headed to this same demise of joining the 27 Club (this next July is her 27th Birthday).

Interestingly, I was just having a conversation that either 27 is a difficult time for young adults especially those involved in party scenes with drug use and celebrities are only a shinning light on an unknown cultural/biological phenomenon it due to their popularity. Case in point. Actor Frankie Muniz of Malcolm in the Middle, recently had a stroke, now not as popular or in club scenes or headlines as other young actors he is 27.

Or there is something darker afoot if the statistics show an average person at 27 is no more prone to death then at 26 or 28 and there is forces at work taking the lives of young stars.

It would be interesting if it did turn up something and maybe this will start happening more often a "Revelation" of what is really going on if you will... but I doubt it.

I love your desire to see the best in people OP. It's an admirable trait. In this case however? She was an out of control train wreck in progress. Even Bill O' had commented on the likely outcome to her story well in advance of it happening.

It's always tragic but no less so than Jimmy Hendrix suffocating on his own bile from vomiting while too drunk to clear it. So many in those circles live fast and real hard...to die so young. I guess in many cases, the celebrity is a true curse. It sure was in hers.

Perhaps Lindsay Lohan will be joining the 27 club next year. She does appear to be on the path toward self-destruction, however, I hope she turns it around.

I would love to see the statistics myself on those ages to better determine if this is simply a coincidence or there is something else occurring.

I am not sure if 27 is such a difficult time in people's lives, though I honestly think it is a little different for each individual. I myself am 23 so I shall see in four years whether it is such a difficult time. Personally, I do not think that age could be so bad after the things I have gone through from ages 17-22, but alas who is to say.

I did not hear that about Frankie Muniz and it is interesting to hear that story. It does appear checking into it now that he is doing a lot better since the mini-stroke, which is good to hear.

Thank you. I think it is a beneficial trait, however, at times it has not resulted in the most positive outcomes either for me, lol.

In terms of people predicting what happened, there are a lot of things said about people all the time about how bad things will turn out and they do not come true. In my opinion, it was not a lock that this would happen to Amy. Just as what people said would happen to me and some of my friends did not occur either. Most of my friends were on similar paths as Amy, however, a good number of us have turned our lives around, while a few have not. That is life some do and some don't. Therefore, I felt Amy had just as good a chance as anyone and the fact she didn't surprised me. It all goes back to the trait I have that you deemed admirable. I see things differently, but I do not think that means I see it correctly. It is what it is to me and thats that. I am fine with other people disagreeing, conflict is a beautiful thing in this world when it is done and handled correctly, It can lead to positive aspects just as much as negative, depending on the individuals involved.

I definitely agree with your view that celibrityism or popularity can be a curse. It simply depends on the individual and how they handle or deal with it. Some can and others can not as much. Unfortunately, it does appear that Amy could not and lead to her demise. I still consider this a sad and unexpected death though.

I thank you for sharing your opinions on this.

There does however seem to be something about the age of 27 I made it as well when many, many did not think I would.

Yes, with the numerous amounts of incidents it does seem like there might be something going on with the age of 27. Sometimes coincidences are more than just coincidences.

I am truly glad to hear that you were able to make it through difficult times as well.
