Whats wrong with you people? Its simple, ban crime, no more crime. Is this correct? I`m trying to understand the minds of the ban crowd and this is what Im guessing how they think. If you get a speeding ticket its the cars fault, if you get fat its the restaraunts fault, if you get drunk its the bars fault. If you get lung cancer from smoking its the cigeretts fault.

Or is crime an action that a person does so it would be silly to think such a thing?

Personally I would like to ban hate, poverty, discrimination, disease, pollution, hunger, greed and yes crime.

So why dont we all push our congressmen to ban my above wish list so we can stop the atrocities towards all humanity.

When will we become a society that can evolve to the next level? I really don`t think things are to blame I think its a much deeper problem.

"Ban Crime"

I believe that is what we call "The Law". Why we have Police. Why we have Courts.

And look how effective a deterrent THAT is.

No, the problem is a lack of education. The lack of possibilities for a person to use that education.

Limitations.

You act as if it's cut and dry, but if the speedometer in your car isn't working, then speeding tickets aren't your fault. If you get fat because a restaurant lied about the content of your meals then who's fault is that? If you get drunk because the bars illegally served you alcohol, who's fault is that? If you can't give up smoking because it's full of physically addictive substances, who's fault is that?

It's not easy to assign blame, and often regulations are beneficial to everyone. If you ate an apple that had been accidentally poisoned with cyanide, would you blame yourself for not checking carefully enough, or the seller for selling tainted produce?

The US is sold a tainted story about how you must defend yourselves at all costs, this is why you have an army bigger than the rest of the world's military put together. This is why you operate a dozen aircraft carriers and your closest rival operates 2.

It's a delusion. Please realise this.

It is cut and dry to me. Im driving my car in a 55mph road, I look at my speedo and say why the hell does it say 40mph and why am I passing everyone.

I`m eating a BigMac and fries everyday of the week damn I`ve put on 10lbs this month....hmmm.

Illegally served me booze ,like im under age with a false ID or Im fall down drunk when I ask for another.

Eating a poison apple...hmmm I really dont think its the grocery stores fault unless you want them to check every apple with a full spectrum anaylizer so no.

As far as my government pursuing the elites idea of world control, we are working on that. Probably why the forefathers put in government controls and probably why they have such a hard on to remove them.

Oh...are you a laywer?

Then you have failed to understand the argument.

Im driving my car in a 55mph road, I look at my speedo and say why the hell does it say 40mph and why am I passing everyone.

More like you're driving on a road by yourself, your speedo says 50mph, you are pulled over for doing 65mph. This is why speedometers read 10% higher than your actual road speed. Education please.

I`m eating a BigMac and fries everyday of the week damn I`ve put on 10lbs this month....hmmm.

You're eating a low calorie lasagne which actually has twice the calories listed and you've put on weight.

Illegally served me booze ,like im under age with a false ID or Im fall down drunk when I ask for another.

In some countries (such as mine) it's illegal to get drunk at a bar.

Eating a poison apple...hmmm I really dont think its the grocery stores fault unless you want them to check every apple with a full spectrum anaylizer so no.

You don't think selling poisoned apples would be the fault of the supplier?

Oh...are you a laywer?

I don't state my profession on here cause I post in the 911 forum. Suffice to say I'm a technical analyst. I get to assign blame a lot of the time and it's a lot harder than you think.

...then what is the point of your "ban crime and be done with it" thread if bans only matter and work for the majority while the minority will continue on "ban crime" or not?

Insurance analyst?

Listen I can go on with the blame game just as long as you, my car has gps so I know when im speeding, Ive been driving long enough to have a pretty good idea how fast im going. Is the store guilty well I guess it could test every piece of produce that comes in the door but what would that apple cost? $100-$200? I guess the speeding point could be that we put in all of our cars a device that knows the speed limit in a particular area and adjusts the speed accordingly though we may still fall asleep after eating our low cal lied to pasta product. Might as well put in a device that drives for us. Im going to tell you how far I believe in personal responsibility and yes I am a gun owner. I was riding my modified 200mph capable motorcycle (Hyabusa) on a public road. I passed a car on a double yellow at least triple the posted speed limit. I crashed when I hit a stone in the road. When in the hospital the surgeons missed a broken foot and when they reattached my femur that had lost 3" of bone they attached it crooked. I could have sued the crap out of those 2 surgeons and the hospital for malpractice, I had lawyers begging me to. So was it the bikes fault? The rock in the roads fault? Or was it my fault for speeding. It was mine period. If I didnt speed I wouldnt have crashed, so on and so forth. I am responsible I could have blamed all kind of "things" but the bottom line is me. Now if I was at a red light and someone rearended me while they were texting....thats pretty cut and dry to. Unless its the phone companys fault for allowing a phone to work in a car. I guess working on process controls and machinery my whole life has made me a little simple in my logic...A+B=C. I guess a machine cant blame its parents when it doesnt run right or a vortex shedding flowmeter isnt reading correctly because no one ever said "I love you". So people are complex beings that do things that will never be honestly understood....but that was my point. Its the people not the things.

His thread is sarcasm. He already knows we have a ban on crime, and yet people who want to will still break the law. Just like if there was a ban on guns, the people who want to will still get guns. Just like the people who want to still get drugs, even though they're illegal.

Is it right to ban something because in the wrong hands...or mind its bad. Its the same thing right? . Does it make a difference in the big picture.Who or what, in all reality, is the ban protecting? I belong to a conspiracy site for a reason and its not because I feel the world is a fluffy fuzzie warm place. I feel there is a power working behind the scenes. Am I paranoid? yes a little but I wont blame my military training
If banning something is "The Answer" then ban crime. I dont think so. Who has the right to ban anything that %99.7 of the law bidding population has and uses legally in the name of what...safety. I could be talking anything here, cars, booze, smokes, high fat foods, cell phones, violent video games/movies,free speech, trial by jury. It just gets my goat because of knee jerk reactions to a hell of alot deeper problems. It seems like such a simple thing "ban" but what does it really acomplish what does it really change.

Well it goes with people kill people,, not guns
So many are looking to blame someone else or something for their inability to control.
An overweight person gets angry when the standard Airline seat that "Most" of america fits in, is to small for the overeating passenger..and expects to not have to pay for an extra seat,, when in fact its like two people anyway

Seems to me thats a crime in its self

I agree Camperguy.
Give me an "A'! Accountability. Be accountable for your own actions. Stop being childish & blaming your problems on everyone else... this country or that country... guns or knives or bombs... You all have a chance & a choice. Which will it be? The red pill or the blue pill?

Just have some morals, self worth, self love, security. . . Equality, inner joy. . . no matter what!!!. . It IS possible!!! When our minds & hearts can reach the highest levels of acceptance of ourselves, we have become a good human. No matter what your beliefs are. It's that simple. Who could feel these good feelings & do bad things? Maybe the insane...? Maybe we should all blame the parents, the grandparents, great, great-great... etc. Someone to blame? Every person on Earth has a story. It's up to THAT PERSON to make their story good or bad. If we've suffered as children and/or as adults, we MUST change it ourselves! No one else can do it for you! Blaming others will not help you love yourself. We have to forgive them & then help them. Kinda scary huh? They just might be shocked for change! Even the criminally insane 4$$h0l3$ have a story; somewhere in their life, something horrible happened to them. Look at the life stories of the infamous "killers" & all the bad seeds. They are experiencing "self-issues." Something they were never able to accept, even if they don't consciously remember!

BUT, there's always someone to blame if you're doing the wrong things or something bad happens to you.
Do we even attempt to place blame about why we feel HAPPY with ourselves? Imagine... I'M HAPPY DAMMIT! I'M GONNA GET WHOEVER DID THIS TO ME!! Lol!

Thing is, without some type of "SUPREME" intervention, this will never happen because everyone is too busy. The people who sit back & allow things to "happen". Those who stare at that true TV channel, getting fatter stuffing their faces. Then, my favorite... the "mouth breathers" who haven't a clue about anything real..There's too many to "types" in this category to name. But they want to blame everyone & everything else for their problems! W
They talk the talk, never walk the walk. Expecting their "leaders" to fix it for them! "Fix it up good!"

Changing laws will not change people.

i would agree with banning crime if it wouldnt make the unemployment rates sky rocket. we would first have to find enough jobs for all of the politicians that would be put out of work.

IMO, these are not good arguments.
If your speedometer isn't working, yes...it's your fault, after all, YOU bought the car. Did YOU notice it wasn't working? Why did YOU not have it repaired?
Can't blame restaurants, even if they lied...YOU ate it. Calling them liars is again placing blame on someone else for shoving food down your neck. Make it yourself and you know what's in it & save some money.
Nope, not the bar, because YOU went in! Why the hell are you there if you're not old enough? Take some responsibility people! Be accountable!
And, YOU started smoking..... Are you really unable to see how you are solely responsible for YOUR life and actions? Are we all?
If we are capable of LOVE, we are not completely lost as a species.
Love yourself enough to LEARN and do your OWN research.
In the end, it is always what YOU choose to do and know. You are your own savior. No one else.

It's not easy to assign blame, and often regulations are beneficial to everyone. If you ate an apple that had been accidentally poisoned with cyanide, . . .

Well, this one is easy. You wouldn't have to worry about who to blame. You'd likely be dead before you even knew what you did, which was choosing to buy apples. (oops. . . bad idea!)

You are right!

Yeah, the LAW. That is funny! Here's something to contemplate: More laws & regulations = dissent in ANY country, not only in the USA as many here want to imply.

The dumbing down of society is a real issue! In America, that's the public school systems fault; or perhaps video game programmers; or maybe it's a simple discipline problem; or...It's endless for those who insist on placing blame instead of taking responsibility. I'm not at all convinced that the only problem is education. Logic says it is a major contributor, there's much more poison in the mix.

DO your best, teach everyone you come into contact with to do their best. It's ALWAYS enough! It's a freaking miraculous event! Who's to blame for not doing that? All of us! I do mean everyone, govt & corps included.
Ever see the movie Idiocracy? It is prophetic! Not to mention quite hilarious at times.
