The reason the media industry does less fact checking is because they are now competing with amateur journalists on social media who usually beat them to the punch. Now that the internet is beating MSM at the news game, they are resorting to less accurate and more sensational tactics to win back viewership dollars. That's all it is, simple cause and effect. They now break any story they think "could be true" to get someone to click on their site the fastest. That is what "media" has turned into. All of you who think this is the government really need your heads examined. Someone needs to be monitoring your Facebook pages, telephone lines. Adam Lanza shot his mother, a teacher, in the face, and then drove her car to the school where she worked. He then shot and killed 28 people, mostly children. His girlfriend and another friend are missing. Folks are wondering why this happened. Why shoot the children? It all ended with Lanza killing himself at the scene of his murderous rampage.

I'm sure it could be. But common sense tells me it most likely is bad reporting. Due to the majority of "news sources" are amature internet sites reporting bad info and being picked up on main stream media. I think it's more likely to be the quality of news is # then the government or "they" are trying to mislead us all.

What's important here is that inside all these conflicting reports lies The Truth. Initial reports were coming from any number of sources - teachers, school officials, neighbors, students, firefighters.
Once the police tape goes up the shade is drawn on investigation. After that point only what the police has to say holds any weight (merit is another matter).

If this was a conspiracy of any sort and it turns out that Adam Lanza was also a victim then the real story is buried somewhere in the early reports and police radio broadcasts. A man caught in the woods claiming "I didn't kill those kids" means he knew what had happened. Why was he wearing camo? His apprehension is on film from a helicopter btw. He was later described by an adult as sitting in the front of a police car. Only fellow officers get to sit in the front, certainly not someone arrested as a possible shooter in a mass murder. Was he a Federal Agent of some sort?

In any type of black operation one thing is imperative - control of information. One must decide what is real, what is disinfo and what are just mistakes to get to the heart of the matter.
The sheer emotional weight of the event (much like 9/11) is so great as to prevent many from even being able to take an objective look at the evidence. By the time they've calmed down the official story has been put in place and remains as the official version of "truth", not to mention the only story available from the msm.

The scariest part is people don't even realize how dangerous this precedence is. Want to really control, confuse, and divide the populace? You get them to the point where they believe first and question later. Then you send out two or three conflicting sound bites. Depending on the situation, instant chaos. Exactly where we are heading in my opinion.


i gather people forgot or dont care and by people i mean us the whole damn country. stopped caring about those things a long time ago, because no on in the press ever asks any real questions any more. like when we are missing money, or whats really in a bill that needs to be passed to find out, or why we keep going to war ever 10-15 years, no one ask the major questions any more and if they do, they never follow up on it when side tracked or person refuses to answer.

if they dodge the question you ask why or come out in the open and ask them point blank would you not ather answer that question. instead of getting a completely wrong aswer like the sheriff in the press conf. the man asked him point blank . " did the kids mother have a connection with the school?" and he goes on to asnwer a completely different question like it wasnt even asked and it was the loudest qustion being asked so theres no way he can say oh i thought i was answering the other guy...... complete rubbish.

the worse part i think is...where are the f ing teachers that taught these journalists,, there should be online boycotts 24/7 and outrage from their schools on how they are reporting.. is there no. so they must be taught to suck on the job. ^^

The shooting was very real and the deaths of those children was very real. Just because the pathetic excuse for news media didn't find the facts before they started spewing false information does not change the fact that a useless excuse for a human being went into the school and killed many innocent children and dedicated teachers.
I have friends and family in the area and I KNOW it's real. Those children are DEAD. Don't disrespect them and their families by saying it's faked and didn't happen. That's just downright disgusting and makes you no better than the SOB that pulled the trigger.

Just to touch on one point.

It is SOP to NOT EVER tell a suspect exactly what is going on until they are in full custody- For large or small things. They will say things like-

"C'mon to the car and then we will talk to you" etc, etc, etc,- Especially with a major event such as this. He would have been shackled and essentially ignored (usually asking "what did I do?) while the police would just mutter "we will talk to you in a minute:" as they led him to the car.

They would want everything done by the book- Including anything the suspect said being recorded.This was a majotr event and a totally amateur, rookie move to have dialogue with a suspect in a Mass murder "out in the woods:".

It's cruel and unusual punishment for those who aren't likely to harm to be blamed in a category with those who do harm others. But the end road to the panic and fear is going to be: they're going to conspire to put prozac in the water one day. Then we're all ruined if they do.

Look at the disinfo. Look how the news agencies are trying to smooth out the wrinkles of evil. Even when I was a kid, I saw the news, and my parents told me that that man was evil, and we don't do what he did, and what he did was wrong. And guess what, that parental coaching, it works! Could be either.

My own theory is that there were at least 2 sources inside the investigation. Source 1 was pretty valid. We had some really good info in the first couple hours (make/model of gun's, 20 OR 24 year old, the correct number of dead, etc, etc, etc,)- Now either intentionally or not, another (or more than one) source began muddying the waters. At this point the reporting has been so bad and contradictory (I watched this all go down Live) that it is impossible to tell if we are being intentionally lied to or not.

There isnt much more that could possibly change here and each thing that did (with a few exceptions) makes little sense. For instance, I understand the initial reports of only 3 shot as there was only 3 transported to the ER but how did "Mom" go from being a teacher, to not being a teacher. How did "The Killer" have an altercation with four staff members and there is no Police report?

The list goes on and on...

The Truth? Its lost. At this point even if they tell us the truth its going to be impossible to believe since credibility is nil.

Yes, they leave their gonads at the door. If Murdoch going free is any indication of the corruption in journalism these days, they leave out a lot to not get the masses thinking about things like their freedoms and their privacies, and most of all, their rights. Cyberstalking has reached new levels with cyber gangs that go after people in the real world. People are afraid to talk; they think they have mastered the art of manipulating the masses, and this kind of news is bad for the manipulations. Right now, we are a week away from the end of the world manipulation, the buy everything you can for Christmas even if you are broke manipulation, the don't shoot your eye out kid manipulation (oh my god did I just say that?) (I hope the killer wasn't reading the Catcher in the Rye), and they are trying to keep it low tide and not tsunami because people are stressed out. The news these days runs like a magazine, workers want their benefits and their salary, and their retirement. Security has gone to another level now that the whole world has a camera phone. If security is wrong and some innocent bystander has the proof, it could unravel an agency and their discipline for gathering facts. Then there are all the special interest agencies which fund the newspapers, as if propaganda took a holiday.

This is why I don't have cable or the newspaper anymore. The news has been segregated into for-security-agencies and for-everybody-else. I want the security agency stuff but they aren't sharing.

In short, they are watering it down. The quality of journalism has been going down for a while now, they are mutating into spy agencies now.

The news reports as much as it can as soon as it can. That's why they use words like "Cannot be confirmed" and "alleged" and "developing story".

It's not the Media's job to give you "answers", just to tell you the news and to comment on it. If you want answers, then you need to be in law enforcement. The answers are above your pay grade. You are not entitled to know all the details of everything you want to know the details of. You are not special and you are not priveledged. You got the news that there was a shooting, you don't deserve to know all the details of people's lives, you don't have that right.
The news reports did a lousy job of reporting the story, but it's not their job to know all the details either. They are supposed to deliever the facts and only the facts and there are some things that YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW.
