Sudden outburst of gun related news

Weird, I opened up CBS San Francisco local news and I see the following

Upscale SoCal Mall on Lockdown After Shots Fired

Why is San Francisco reporting news happening far down south? They usually never do. Was this done for the sake of just reporting another shooting?

Anyone else notice a sudden spike in gun related news in their local news outlets?

Don't worry, It wont be long until everyone carries on with their little lives like there is no problem. The news will stop reporting every little shooting that happens each day.

Yes I have. Today on google news the top story was CT (obviously), but the 3 featured stories under the U.S. section were all different shooting stories.

I believe its 12-21-12 effect on the mentally unstable.

They believe the world is going to end and they are wigging out and taking others with them.

The streets are littered with schizophrenics and the mentally ill who self medicate and they also feel lost during the holidays.

I think if you asked someone in Sierra Leone or Syria they'd probably say that was a quiet week. But then those places aren't America and therefore don't exist.

And all of this news, media attention and public fear just feeds the sick minds who will be stimulated to enact "copy cat" massacres (even trying to up the ante).
