Is it working?
It's not for me. I either get (loading search engine) or a 404 on the search.
Anyone else with the same problem?

If you're using any kind of ad-blocking software, turn it off.

I have experienced this, I get to the search page and the "loading search engine" hangs and the text field to type my search query never populates. Running Chrome, but I have found that if I refresh, usually only once, occasionally twice, three times max, it will usually load right up.

I have never gotten the 404 however. I plead the 5th regarding the use of an Ad blocker

Ghostery interferes with search. If you're using it either turn it off or add ATS to the exceptions.

Thank you guys.
I have ATS on permanent permission, that's why it's strange.
But it must be something to do with what you guys are saying.
Going to go check.

Still not working and this is after I've added ATS to the Ghostery white list and made the permissions permanent on no script.
Now I have loads of third party websites tracking me, like Google analytics, Quantcast and what not, but still can't use the search.

That's it.

It's fixed. Nice one peeps.
Not too keen on the whole third party tracking though, and this on a conspiracy website.
Funny that.

ETA: You have to add ATS as "abovetopsecret.com" and not as "www.abovetopsecret.com".

Also, lemme get this right, so Google is analyzing everything we write here??

Oh yea no doubt.

Data Collected: Anonymous (Ad Views, Analytics, Browser Information, Cookie Data , Date/Time, Demographic Data, Hardware/Software Type, Interaction Data , Page Views , Serving Domains) Pseudonymous (IP Address (EU PII), Search History, Location Based Data, Device ID (EU PII)) PII (Phone Number)

That's the privacy information Google analytics collect....

But I guess this is a subject for another thread.

Thanks for you help.

ETA: Actually...that's a lot of data in return for some candy. I think I'd rather not use the search lol...

in ghostery with firefox i had to enable google ajax and uhh, ithink it was google custom search.
that allowed seemingly normal tracking-blocking from ghostery.

also had to enable google in no-script.

comment ... search engine here needs some 'advaced functions' to get to what you're looking for .
