What happened to the supposed person they have in custody that was a second shooter? found behind the school in the woods? more wrong info from the news i suppose. The person they have in custody maybe is the brother.

The news just stated the dad is cooperating with the FBI

fox just said that the father is indeed alive and they said that adam woke up this morning and shot his mom in the face. so basically, it sounds like he lived with her, shot her, then went to the school and shot her class.

I'm sorry but ive read through pages and pages of this thread, and cant believe how many members of this site are falling for this hoax. Go look at pictures of the school, completely isolated surrounded by trees. Look at the kids being led out of the school by FBI, happy and smiling. Look at the 3rd grader who got interviewed by CNN. Completely calm, smiling and even laughs at the end. 27 PEOPLE JUST GOT MASSACRED. Where is the blood?

Columbine 2012, Obama even tears up just like Clinton did.

FAKE

You honestly can't see the difference between an accidental drone attack, and someone shooting children in cold blood

Well I didn't make any connection to accidental drone strikes but you have so...A drone malfunctions, strays off course, slams into a village and kills ten children. Whoever pulled this act of violence was (like the drone) sent off in the right direction, should have meshed with society, should have become a valued member of his community but he malfunctioned. Maybe he ate too much Monsanto, or had parents that did...maybe his parents beat him with pointy sticks all day who knows. Obviously I can see the difference.
My point though was, when children are killed through any act of violence it is wrong and no matter where it happens we need to find a way to stop it!

Those families are going through something unimaginable. They need the rest of us to stop our bickering. We need to come together for them.

So please world. Lets pull together. If you have kids, be honest with them. Encourage questions. Answer everything. DO the best you can as a parent to reduce as much fear as possible that your child might have. Take tonight to make the extra effort to make you child feel safe.

Tonight is about saving as much innocence as we as a society can.

Because they have nothing are most likely highly depressed and they know the media will be talking about them for WEEKS AND WEEKS showing photos and generally pushing them in to the lime light.

Plus you get all the forum posts also cementing them in history

I just don't understand. I will never understand.

Remember, he was disabled, maybe mentally unstable. Maybe he didn't know what he was doing.

I don't really consider a 20 year old an adult. But I share your outrage.

Can you say how much of this is hoax? The school doesn't exist and no children killed? There is something that doesn't meet the eye, but this isn't hoax. Maybe some kind of conspiracy.

Tell that to the 26 families that will be having funerals over the next couple of weeks, or those that are digging the graves for the 26 victims. Granted, you're just trolling, but that is to be expected here I guess. Just as bad as the fake twitter and facebook stuff.

I havent been listening to any live feeds lately, has there been any more confirmation of information released by the police dept?

I would propose that the real problem here is not guns, but the fact that over the last 20-30 years, we have increasingly attempted to mainstream those with developmental deficiencies and/or personality disorders. This is why these types of horrific crimes are occurring. No sane person would commit an act like this, only one who is either insane or incapable of understanding the consequences of their actions.

It used to be that the developmentally disabled and mentally unstable folks would be kept out of the mainstream, but now that is considered unacceptable and they are allowed to join the rest of society, and we are all expected to treat them like everyone else...even though they are NOT like everyone else.

In the end, it's political correctness that is killing these people, not guns.

This is the most ignorant post I have ever read on ATS, or anywhere else. I teach kids with autism and cognitive disabilities. I hope any members here that may have a child with disabilities doesn't see this post, because they will rip you a new one, and you deserve it.

Why he killed his mother and after that went to school to kill childrens.. His mother was a teacher in that school and propably had a key card to get inside the building, building has a security lockdown and only way to get in is identification or key card.

I have a feeling this story is even more sinister than media is telling us.

Again, there is a difference between intentionally going in and wiping out a classroom of children, shooting them in cold blood, and an accidental drone bombing in war. Both are tragic, but there's something more disturbing about an individual who willingly and deliberatly shoots children in their classroom.

And blaming Monsanto or some other such nonsense is a cop out, taking away personal responsibility. There's a lot of this in Europe lately, with the PC brigade blaming anyone but the criminal, didn't expect to see it in the US

All I said was take a moment of silence for the victims.

Yes, and what does that mean? Really?
And what does it do?
Will it bring back one of those kids? No. Will it help save another child in the future? I can guarantee you it will not. It’s just another moment...lost.

IMO? This ‘moment of silence’ is nothing more than a clear indication the speaker lacks conviction to stand up and use the word PRAY. Like American's used to do without shame or hesitation - back in the days when little kids were not getting gunned down in schools. (Put that 2+2 together).

I know you are angry at what happened today, we all are.

You know no such thing.

What I am angry over is wishy-washy emotionalism that does nothing to stop the degradation of American society with it’s empty sentiment so soon to be forgotten when the next shooting spree or tragedy hits. That people actually have come to the misbegotten conclusion ‘being silent’ has and value at all.

I for one will not coach others into lulling themselves into a false sense of 'I'm doing something to help because I was SILENT for a moment.' IMO? That in a nutshell is half of what's wrong in America these days and why more people are acting out on doing wrong - like killing school children - because too many people who know what's right are being silent.

No, no more silence. Stand up and speak out! If mean PRAY then say it. If you want your children’s teachers to be armed in the classroom - then say it. If you don‘t - say that too, but no more silence.

No need to take it out on one another.

I’m not taking anything ‘out’ on you - but you statement goes far in lending even more credence to my point. I guess I must have missed the part where standing up for what you believe in and calling on those around you to do something other than stay ‘silent’ became a personal attack in the USA.

As for it being a sad day to be alive comment. It is. For us.

No. It isn’t. Each moment we are ALIVE we have the power within us to change our world. There is NOTHING sad about that. And if you don’t believe me? Just ask the parents of the kids who are still alive.

Im sorry my sadness sickened you.

Sadness doesn’t sicken me - it’s lack of conviction and backbone that nauseates me.

peace

This sure has been one mixed up story. I get that things aren't all confirmed when the news media spouts it across the airwaves.

But how do we get from 'Dad found dead in the home' to 'Dad is indeed alive and cooperating' ??? WTF?
