Bless the people who have to go identify their dead babies, I don't know how anyone could do that. Worse yet is the fact they have to because of a crazed loser who couldn't deal with his issues in any other way than shooting up a bunch of little children.

His motives are meaningless, his actions have destroyed hundreds of lives.

Sickening.

Months here...... I rarely ever have to pull it out, I would notice my business cards missing way before I would notice one of my ID's gone.

WCBS just showed footage of Ryan Lanza being pulled out of a police car and taken in for questioning. He looked a lot like the pics that were posted earlier.

EDIT: we was handcuffed but they made a point in saying he isn't a suspect at this time.

Yeah...older brother. Guy blocked everyone except his friends on facebook because he was getting threats & messages on his page. Plus, every news agency was calling HIM the shooter.

Agreed about the media. It's part laziness, and part under-staffing. The race to be first is allows for so many mistakes to be made. Plus there is so much single sourcing, or parroting of AP, other content generators. So-called facts can spread like a virus. We're seeing it today. This very sad day.

For all those who have suffered today:

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

On CNN just now a young boy was talking about how when they were exiting the building they saw a man on the ground in hand cuffs but didn't get a great look at him due to a car in the way...This and the "guy in the camo pants running into the woods" are two other possible scenarios I've heard

It looks as if the shooters real name is trickling through various media now. That ADAM Lanza is the shooter, rather than Ryan Lanza. Adam is 20 years old. Which makes the original posted age correct.
But that adds to the confusion really. Seems that the name and age would be tied to an ID.

Younger brother was carrying older brother's ID. The media went into a s--t storm putting out whatever info they could find. Older brother was on FB earlier telling people he was not the shooter. He was living in New Jersey and left work. He then blocked all but his current friends on facebook. He is now in custody for questioning.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Curious as to how you go all day not knowing your ID is missing.. But nothing's impossible..

Oh, its very possible. At least three times I've left my cellphone at the local Walgreens because I set it down on the counter to get my wallet. I also took out my ID one time to make a copy of it and forgot to put it in my wallet. Sure enough, the Human Resources dept. at work asked me for it the very day I didn't have it :-P

I could lose my ID for weeks and have no clue- I grab my wallet when I go and am only interested in the cash I have (or do not have)- The Debit card occasionally and...Thats it. I really just assume its in my wallet and unless I am pulled over (I am to old to get "carded" now, lol) I never even pay attention.

-But my cellphone? Man I would know that was gone asap =P

All MSM are now reporting *unconfirmed* multiple fatalities....It makes me sick....just really sick....

This is one of the big reasons we home school. School is not what it was many years ago. I don't trust putting my child in the hands of public school for their education or their safety.

I have a boy in the second grade. After reading up on this story and talking to my wife about it, I have to say that I feel very lucky that my son is sitting in class safe and sound.

Not much of a religious person, but even I said a "prayer" for these little ones. I hope all of you can take the time to do the same.

It's the least we can do.

older brother gives younger brother id so he can get into bars, buy alcohol etc.

Did anyone else catch that some media person, female, ( heard on the internet) was interviewing what sounded like one of the children from the school? I heard it playing on a coworkers computer.

Could someone please explain to me, how a reporter could do this? I'm sorry, sleaziest thing I've every heard.
What parent would think this is a good idea?

I'm trying to find it, but really, really not appropriate, IMHO.

If the cops thought he was the shooter how was he able to just worry about what his fb page was doing?

I am confounded by this. Why was he not found and this whole mix up averted before now of the Adam/Ryan
ID thing?

They thought he was Ryan, why didn't they show up at Ryan's job investigating.

If there was a brother, Adam did they go to HIS job and interview him?

I can't see how this took hours and hours to straighten out.

Maybe it's how he bought guns? I am not sure about jersey laws, in some states you have to be 21 to get a handgun at least.

I've witnessed shootings first hand & I can tell you that when something like this goes on, the cops handcuff and take into custody anyone near the scene that is a potential suspect or they are unsure of. They ask questions later. ....as expected, of course.

2013, all kids will be homeschooled, all shopping will be done online, all movies will be streamed via "smart tv's" and all meetings and communication via skype..

2020, everybody hooked up to a machine while drones live their lives for them. Think of the movie "Surrogates".

I say this only because it seems like some of the sentiment going around is "it ain't safe outside anymore".

Saddddd world we live in right now

Keyword: not safe outside anymore > must restore safety to public

At the Hobbit last night, a man walked into the exit door a few moments after the movie started. A group of people got up and ran out, scared out of their minds. I got up and went out as well, as I heard one woman start crying. Turns out the guy was just working there, doing a security check on a door that was not locking properly. People are starting to live in fear.

Parents are with the kids (seeing the same on ABC Online)- Which is in sane. I would be a wreck for weeks and would be shielding my child from everything and searching for a good counseler immediatley- These fools are letting the press interview their kids.

I am sorry- Thats pretty upsetting .
