Breaking News - Shooting at Newtown, Connecticut elementary school.

I'm curious to know the age of this shooter, considering a teacher got shot in the foot and was this a kid being bullied and decided to take matters into in his/her own hand to be a vigilante? Or was it some adult teenager who just walked in the place for unknown reasons. If this was a kid the parents should be held accountable for the child in the hospital. And was that the child who did the bullying that this person targeted? Too many questions.

They said there were two shooters

1 suspect dead

1 suspect still on the run.

Somewhere in my OP is something about 2 shooters as well. I purposely included that part anticipating that it would become 1 shooter.

Ok so I remember hearing that a second was "on the run" as well. Now that's fading from reports with no clarification. Now it's just "one gunman is dead"...

Police reportedly questioning someone. Witness says the man was led out of the woods by police in handcuffs.

State trooper says that they'll be holding a presser shortly.

Maybe get more answers to some of the questions.

Looking from the live cam that school is so isolated. Looks like it's out in the middle of nowhere.

When a story is developing, wouldn't a common attribution be that all the facts are not straight?

I'm not sure why people feed into the idea that because something reported 10 minutes ago has been updated, it is somehow something the can throw on the conspiracy barbeque later.

I have read that Bethel is also in lock down now.

Thank you - I was hoping that was a "false" report.

Who would ever want to kill 5-10 year olds? What could a 5 year old ever do that was so bad that you needed to walk in to an elementary school and shoot/kill children? What the hell was going through their minds?

Every kid in that school will have to live with the memory of being shot, watching their friends get shot, watching their mentors get shot, watching two men run around firing guns, being scared #less while swat teams enter their school.

This is infuriating because these kids will be traumatized. I had to deal with something like this before. It's not healthy. No child ever deserves to be shot. This is just too much. What is wrong with people these days?

Watching Fox News...even they are not getting info. They did report, a command center is being set up in the parking lot. They did report this could mean one of two things. That the scene is contained and investigative work is being done. Or, it's an ongoing situation. They also reported there is one classroom of children still in the building Also, for all parents to stay at home for phone calls from command center.

Because it keeps happening every single time... The same way. Each time the different gun men are described as wearing different clothes. The Sikh temple where the witnesses say 4 gunmen but official story is 1... How do you make up 3 gun men??
