Dude, I have played darts nearly all my life.. It may be a boring sport but if you have concentration issues, your screwed
. I've only pegged 170 twice in 16 years and never even got close to throwing a 9 darter. One of my Aussies pals is playing in the tournament in the next couple of weeks.. Kyle Anderson, get behind him

He would have felt threatened at the time. After having some time to cool off (without having 4000 people screaming at you) then you would start to calm down.

But he was happy to stay.....he admits it was security that insisted that he leave, and caused his embarrassment, so if he was happy to stay he obviously did not feel threatened.

If he didn't feel threatened, then why did he state:

'I love darts, but I'm worried about ever going to see it live again, just in case the crowd turns on me like they did last time.'

and

"They were bullying me and picking on me, saying that I was someone else."

He clearly felt threatened by the crowd during the commotion, but after, he was alright to take photos and sign autographs.

Well if he felt threatened why did he say:

'It would have been okay if the security hadn't made a fuss getting me out of the arena.

Exactly.

He is trying to have it both ways and, to me, that screams "attention seeker".

Exactly Daas.

Classic attention seeker. Fair play to him, he has got his wish! Maybe next time, the chants will be "are you Kim Kardashian in disguise?" [substitute for your own personal favourite attention seeker].

Perhaps

Even if he is seeking attention, there is still no doubt that the crowd broke the law...

But there really isn't any reason for the guy to tell two different things. Perhaps he did feel threatened by the crowd, but it got worse once the security brought further attention to the matter? This would explain both comments i guess

No they didn't.

Calling someone Jesus isn't breaking the law.

If you think that what this crowd did was breaking the law then you want to get yourself down to the Etihad Stadium on a Saturday afternoon and listen to some of the chants from the 47,000 fans there....many are tasteless....but not illegal.

They were stating it in a threatening manner, so it could be classed as verbal assault...

Regardless, i think we have figured out why he is providing contradictory stories.

He may have felt threatened initially when someone started calling him Jesus, but when the security came up to escort him out, that would have been when everyone yelled it at him.

This would be the reason why he stated that he is worried about ever returning to another live Darts event, while also stating that the incident would have been alright if the security wouldn't have come to escort him out.

or get down to Old Trafford and listen to some real fans!!
eh! eh! eh!

oh yea psssssst, man shi...city 2 - 3 man utd

i love all you city fans realy
without you we wouldnt have a great derby and banter

i liked the "jesus" chanting
there was no angry intent shown, just good ol' british banter!

i was at Old Trafford a while back when we played a russian side in the champions league, name escapes at the mo

we won 3-1 but anyway it was the same month the russian submarine sank and all were killed
the chant was "were all sinking in a russian submarine" instead of the beatles version.

"were all sinking in a russian submarine"

that is called sledging and is perfectaly acceptable in any sport when sledging the challenging team or refs. umpires. but you dont sledge some poor guy in the crowd, thats jst weird behaviour.
i can see you pomms are defending your "baby spear throwing" sport but this is rediculous.

Australia and the UK are very similar when it comes to sports and all that type of stuff...

Even still, i'd doubt that Aussies would verbally abuse some random guy in the crowd.

People can be idiots all over the planet, but it was a darts match lets not turn it into something it wasn't.
