NEW YORK — Flu season is off to its earliest start in nearly 10 years — and it could be a bad one. Health officials on Monday said suspected flu cases have jumped in five southern states -- including Alabama -- and the primary strain circulating is one that tends to make people sicker, especially the elderly. "It looks like it's shaping up to be a bad flu season, but only time will tell," said Dr. Thomas Frieden, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

I am still pondering weather I should get a flu shot or not.

You can't get the Flu from the Flu jab. That's not how it works. It can however make you feel crappy for a few days. I have to get the Flu jab every year because my wife is immune compromised and the worst thing that's happened to me is a sore arm.

If common sense is failing you then please feel free to Google it. When you have a wife that's as sick as mine, knowing things like "the flu jab doesn't give you flu" helps keep her alive and healthy.
Don't get me wrong, you're entitled to you're own opinion, but this urban myth really needs to be put to rest once and for all. Deny Ignorance and all that...
