George Bush to win The Nobel�s Peace Price

Does anybody here think George Bush will ever win the Nobel�s peace price?
He�s been nominated I think...

I hear the devil's up for Christian of the year though, I'd give that some better odds.

Well, they gave Yasser Arafat a Nobel Peace Prize -- for being a terrorist, thug, and dictator I suppose -- so I guess it's an open field now!

I'm a Bush supporter, but I don't think this is an award for Bush any more than it would have been an award for Winston Churchhill or Franklin D. Roosevelt (assuming the award was even legitmate, which I seriously doubt if people like Yasser Arafat can win one).

As for the Nobel Peace Prize... it lost all credibility when Henry Kissinger got it. :bnghd:

Well if memory serves me right, none of history's conquerors ever claimed they were fighting an evil cause. Quite the contrary; higher morale has always been the claimed goal. Hitler even actually attempted to sell his abuse of thechoslovakia as a humanitarian mission, which looking at it today; is simply absurd. And as you correctly stated; he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Price the same year as Gandhi. At that time, famous voices in the US even stated to prefer Hitler. In the end though, none of them won that year.

i believe that hitler has actually been nominated several times not just once...i'll have to do the research tomorrow for i'm a little tired tonight. but i'm pretty sure that he has been nominated more than a half dozen times.
