Well, even if you don't change it...maybe someone could make that image into a background...assuming a source for that image can be found on the net
And, then insert the new phrase as well

Made one more for you DoubleEE. Now you have quiet the gallery with all the people that helped give you a avatar. Now you just need to use one.

So it is ok to just place backround images I create in here right? The difference between the avatar and the backround is a bit confusing for me. Please forgive me I am still getting the hang of things here

It is a lot of fun to create images for new members. Part of me really enjoys it and it has become therapeuticic for me and serves as a creative outlet.

It is more fun when someone requests something, rather than just throwing something together out of thin air.

Understood. Let me try to explain a little bit here. Yes you can post background images (which is normally my "go to" for creating things). A "profile background" covers the whole space of your mini-profile that people see when you post in threads (generally 180x480) and a avatar just covers a smaller portion.

So to answer your question, yes you can post both avatars and profile backgrounds. I personally prefer profile backgrounds myself over the traditional avatars, but everyone likes different things.

Aside from the dimensions:

Background - 180x480 pixels
Avatar - 170x240 pixels

You cannot have an animated background, but you can have an animated avatar - reason being that file size restricts page loading.

Most will Opt for the background with a transparent avatar - it is larger and for us here, gives more room to play with.

See this post by Agarta from page one which gives a few more details about how to load backgrounds - although it appears you are familiar with same.

Some members creatively combine the background with an animated avatar, so as long as they are within file size T&C's its open slather.

Myth is like an ATS cornerstone. Kinda like the perfect member lol. I have to admit working on his avatar does make me a bit nervous, like doing a work of art for the king or something...

If you wanted to have a go, go for it. There's no competition here, we usually all just post up our works and the requester takes the one he/she likes the most. As I said before, we're like family and help each other out with the creative process. So there's no such thing as 'shotgun' in this thread.

We do it for the love of the game...

An actual mural on a building resized with the EE added for effect;

My personal favourite by far. One never knows what one will find when you hit search for "manly rainbow." IMO it doesn't get much manly than that...

You don't have to choose just one. You can take all of those pics and save them to your uploads. You can change out your avatar/background as much as you want.
