There is no evidence that the Mayans were conquered by any invaders, but instead evidence shows that they are victims of their own success (over population) and weather changes (extreme drought). The descendents were then scattered throughout the Americas, creating or joining other civilizations.

The Aztec on the other hand were conquered by the Spanish through trickery and bad luck when they thought cortez was a long lost God, which he used to infiltrate the Aztec ultimately taking control and integrating the two civilizations together to create a new people which today we call Latinos or Mexicans.

This is interesting because History channel and NAT GEO keep making DOOMSADY documentaries where they say that a pole shift occurred in the past and entire civilisations had vanished and there was geological evidence that it happened - BUT of course the expert has to quickly say that "OH it happens over a long period and there's no chance of instant destruction"

The "History Channel" is simply cashing in on the "popularity" of conspiracy theories... they've always been popular, but the internet has made them more so..

None of them are particularly factual though, and are basically attempts to cash in on a fad.

No one though is claiming that pole shifts, even fast ones, destroyed any civilizations... that's just not a thing...

Poll shifts do happen, and can happen quite quickly, but the biggest impact on the human population in the past would simply have been more cancer in certain areas for a short length of time...

so... hardly apocalyptic...

Crazy old ladies aren't necessarily delusional. Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean someone isn't after you. My feeling is where there is smoke there is fire. Something is up. Maybe not reversing poles or things along that line, but something that will figuratively turn our world upsidedown. That fema comercial is truly bizzare.

Is there any possibility that they are working on something to counter-act the effects of some impending (or perhaps escalating) situation? (Effects of purported 'sun's twin' or much debated 'Nibiru' or so-called 'alignment with black hole at the center of the Milky Way' or 'passing thru strange energy cloud' ?) Our illustrious government has a history of not disclosing close calls until long after the danger has passed. (Example: U.S. citizens had no idea how very close we were to a nuclear exchange with the Russians during the Cuban Missile Crisis until the imminent thread cooled off.)

Now, I usually think TPTB are generally up to no good, or just for their own good, but really-- there are better ways to get rid of us 'useless eaters' than to do something completely unprecedented that has potentially lethal effects to their own life & limb. So just wondering if CERN, HAARP, and whatever else has been working feverishly to counteract some naturally occurring phenomenon, and they are losing the battle? ('Cause you can't really win against nature anyway, especially on a freakin cosmic scale!)

Anyway, you know they wouldn't tell us until the danger passed. I dunno, what do you guys think?

This is the only thing of concern. Nobody pays in full before the job is done.

It is not the first job we have done for her. It is the first I have met her though. My partner said she has always been quick and to the point and thinks she is going nuts now that she is "old." Ha he is 43 and she is 65. She is not necessarily old but to him I guess she is. Haha

Sounds like a fun trip, finally something exciting, I could use some excitement and adrenaline.

Well, I think what I watched back in the day was either a 20/20 presentation, maybe something on PBS (unlikely), TBN (A Christian Network station), or perhaps some special on Nostradamus prophecy.

I just posted over in Yahoo Answers, maybe I'll get a hit through there.

I've also posted over at Godlikeproductions, Christian Forums, and TV.com (since I'm even willing to rifle through every day of television broadcasts in the 1980s).

Otherwise, I just need to make 4 more posts here and I'll open up a new thread and hopefully this will ring a bell with someone.

I can't even find such a theory online, let alone a single lead to this broadcast.
