Hello! I found this site looking for info on the MX-1794, a disc-like aircraft developed by Avro Canada. I have had an on-and-off interest in UFOs for
at least 40 years. Two books I just finished reading on the subject: UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go on the Record by Leslie
Kean and Mirage Men by Mark Pilkington. The book by Kean attempts to establish the reality of UFOs as a fact: that certain sightings meet all
the criteria for a real object: Multiple witnesses at different locations have seen an object; the objects can be photographed; the objects leave
echos on radar; and, for objects that have landed, leave behind imprints. The only difference between UFOs and identifiable aircraft is their
appearance and apparent violation of the laws of physics. Ms. Kean's interest in UFOs started over ten years ago when she received the very first
English translation of the COMETA report, which can be found in several formats on the Internet.
The book by Pilkington examines the entire history of the UFO phenomenon. Some important points are made: (1) A good many sightings are of advanced
technology of the U.S. Air Force;(2) Various agencies--for example, CIA and AFOSI--have disseminated false reports regarding UFOs for various persons
and groups, primarily to direct attention away from black projects.
I highly recommend both books for both believers and skeptics.
