Fat Face & Chicken Legs.

These are the terms sometimes used to describe the effect that zero gravity has on an astronaut’s physique. Instead of fluids in the body being pulled down by the force of gravity, everything flows upward! It you really think about it, it does make sense.

source: pressure and gravity

And, what makes even more sense is that in the most common image of an alien (grey) these same characteristics are observed. Are greys shaped the way that they are because of extensive space travel? Do they come from worlds with little or no gravity, and they have evolved accordingly? I heard a local radio personality talk about this today...and I just had to come home and look it up.
Just some food for thought.

So what is your point you're trying to make?

Well it falls over as soon as you look at stories of greys on earth. It would be impossible for them to support their bodies in our gravity if they were the result of evolution in space.

Again, the theory disproves itself unless you ignore each avenue.

One you become so advanced basically everything becomes brain power and technological power obviously these beings don't have to do a lot of heavy lifting.

Mix in a little self genetic manipulation and you get big heads due to highly advanced brain. Light body build due to little to no excercise.

The less room you take up in your space craft the more economic it is.

How about this...

If they are truly an advanced space fairing race why wouldn't they have genetically engineered themselves to be better suited for long durations in space? We with our supposedly modern Science are already figuring out ways to manipulate our genetic makeup and our astronauts haven't even left the Solar system yet....

A theory to answer your question would be that they go around the cosmos and study each individual species and take the desirables if there are any and inquire it to themselves.

Sorta like trying to make the ultimate avatar. I would highly consider a exoskeleton myself especially if I could piece it on like body armor. And have like reptillian skin between exo skeleton plates.

But then I wouldn't be able to function in the winter time. So hopefully that kick started the imagination a little bit on why they might look like they do or do what they do.

Ha....well the only difference I see in the before and after pics is more grey in the astronaut's hair. Other than that all his facial features appear to be the exact same size as they were when he left.....its not like his skull is going to change size after being in space for any period of time.

Yes

Like seeing somebody use the Zero-G Space toilet for the first time.

I wouldn't know whether to use the thing for it's intended purpose or propose marriage to it

For real what happened to the poor guy? There's more than gravity or the lack of gravity going on with him.

He might have seen an alien or that Zero-G Space toilet.

Even his expression changed.
In the first pic he's like woo-hoo I'm going into outer space. In the second pic he's like holy sh!t we're in trouble.

I have thought along these lines also but have considered that greys are wearing form fitting exoskeleton body suits to give them the extra strength necessary. It would also protect them from the viruses they would not have immunity to and it's even possible they don't breathe the same air as us. Though if that were the case one would wonder why they have any interest in our planet at all besides anthropological types studies involving our cultures.

Boom headshot! Nice to see someone with such an astute sense of logic.

Indeed.

Also, I look at the pictures in the OP, I don't think at all that the astronaut became much fatter as far as the face goes. My kids can put on more weight in one weekend and unlimited pancakes. No, they are not greys.
