Birthdays , Halloween , bonfire night , thanksgiving , Christmas , Easter ,
All celebratory dates the next big Apocalypse !
Media hype = Anticipation = Anxiety = susceptibility = = subconscious programming = fear= CONTROL !
A never ending cycle of spending money and worry .. Maybe if 2012 turns out to be real and where reduced to neanderlithic living standards which involve more basic survival priorities than worrying about the next fancy dress party we might get ahead in our human evolution instead of going backwards .

I agree with you completely..

Sure there have been some rubbish movies and TV shows but other than that the only hype I see is on ATS.
