Israeli minister vows Palestinian 'holocaust'

A senior Israeli politician provoked controversy today when he warned that Palestinians firing rockets from Gaza would be punished with a "bigger holocaust" from Israeli armed forces.

Now this is an article from 2008, but I think its relevant even 4 years later. It gives us some insight into the minds of the izraeli leadership.

Now let me ask you this, if you or "your people" were the victims of ethnic cleansing, could you ever threaten another group of people with the same fate?

I'm not saying that the WW2 Russian/Jewish holocaust didnt happen, but when I see statements like this, I really have to wonder.

And how is it lost on these izraelis that THEY started this fight. The Palestinians didnt go anywhere nor do anything, they didnt ask for the Zionist Jews to descend onto them, their lands and their lives. THEY are the victims...

How dare they fight to protect themselves, their homes, their families... "bunch of terrorists".

The fact that this article is dated 2008 goes to remind us that this is not gonna stop anytime soon. There will always be turmoil over there.

Our tax billions going to these butchers. Some here keep complaining about the poor, elderly and disabled receiving assistance, though. All while defending corporate welfare and billions sent to a rogue nation and fund their massacres/ethnic cleansing.

As karma states, you shall reap what you sow, you vile animals.

The whole lot of them are crazy.

To have someone who lives in a nation that was formed due to the holocaust, then threaten the people who originally lived on the land he stole with another holocaust is just sickening.

I know this man does not represent every Israeli politician, but there are a bunch just like him.

It is an old article. But old or not those are indefensible words.

I am a proponent of Israeli self defense and I stand with Israel against Muslim extremists who wish to kill all the Jews and destroy Israel. But I do not stand with anyone who advocates the total destruction of a people in response to terrorist activities.

Politicians like that should be fired.

From source.

This was not enough to placate Palestinians who sought to exploit the use of the word.

And here lies another problem.

Those believing two wrongs, make a right.

...actually, he didn't use the word holocaust.

He used the word (שואה) - "shoah", which literally means "disaster".

The news spin is because the word "shoah" is often used IN REFERENCE to the holocaust by Jews.

I'm not saying this justifies it (in fact, I'm not making a case any which way), just doing some fact-checking

I would think that the responsible thing to do would be to edit the title to reflect that this asinine quote by this idiot politician was made in 2008.

The OP made the Date clear in his first written sentence.
The Real Story is the Threatening Sentence made... by Someone in an Influencial Position to make it happen.
Why is it, it seems, that Jewish People get away with Making Threats???
Like the Publisher of the Jewish Newspaper who made Death Threats against Obama.

Youre Right.

It seems the OP's only justification to bring up a story from 2008 was to define his position of an already finger pointing debate.

To call the Israelis a......

"bunch of terrorists"

Like the article stated........

This was not enough to placate Palestinians who sought to exploit the use of the word.

Shoah is not just a word used to describe the holocaust, it IS the word.

obviously you have your head way up your behind, there is no such thing as Israeli self defence, its always have been an offensive since day 1; even their own leaders acknowledge that, and here you are supporting the slaughter

if someone threatened you/your race/family/religion with a holocaust wouldnt you become an extremists?

Israel and the US have radicalised the Muslims so much and now I see how...

I would think that if Hamas dropped the total destruction of Israel and retaking of 100% the land from it's very mission charter and statement of being, it might just help the atmosphere for constructive talks a little bit. It's one thing when a rag tag bunch of terrorists has that in their charter, it's quite another when it's a legal Government.

THE PLATFORM OF THE ISLAMIC RESISTANCE MOVEMENT (HAMAS)
(Articles 12 & 13 of special note)

Hamas became the legitimate Government of nearly 2 million people when they were elected and they've done considerable damage to maintain that power since getting it. Time live up to the duties which come along with it. Things like putting the lives of the people they are governing ahead of their agendas as a start. If they could EVER do more than simply bring down reprisal attacks for the P.R. value of their own people killed, I may think differently......but Hamas even entertaining fantasies of winning against Israel is throwing their OWN citizen's lives away for nothing. Nothing at all.

Now the ONLY things capable of killing over 7 million Israelis who are all, by nature of the system of that nation, Military members and trained to fight at some level, WILL kill everyone in GAZA as well. That place is just too small for anything that powerful. So, eventually, they'll have to work this out. Before or after thousands more dead...but someday, it'll have to be.

There are too many on either side and too close together for it to ever be otherwise. The only other choice comes with 7+ million dead and a million of those are Arab Israelis to add to things. not viable IMO. Never has been.

Of course, silly me. It has nothing to do with a violence obsessed 6th century ideology...What was I thinking? Obviously there was no Muslim violence before America and Israel came along...right?

Right?

Oh Islamic extremists existed long before? Well...Guess someone needs to keep track of which hole his head is in now.

Israel won land fair and square when it was attacked by its muslin neighbors. They keep the land to protect from further aggression by an enemy that has historically used every method available to hurt them.

There is no Palestine.
