You all claim to know what communism is, and even claim to have read the Manifesto, but it's clearly obvious neither are true. It's really not good form to argue something you have clearly not researched.

The original title of the publication was 'The Manifesto of the Communist Party', which is what it is. It is not an explanation of what communism is. It is a critique of capitalism, and about the nature of society, the class struggle, and the Communists Leagues plan to move from capitalism to communism/socialism.

Not all communists/socialist supported the plan of the Marxist communists. Mikhail Bakunin worked along side Marx in the International Workers Association (The First International), and was an anarchist.

THE TEMPESTUOUS relation between Marx and Bakunin is a well known legacy of the history of western socialism. As co-members of the International Working Men’s Association, they seem to have devoted as much energy battling one another as their common enemy, the capitalist system, culminating in Marx’s successful campaign to expel Bakunin from the organization. Using Marx to discredit communism is ridiculous, as it exists outside of Marxism, not all communists are Marxists.

Whatever man...some folks will never understand the differences between corporatism, capitalism, socialism, communism, fascism, secularism, theocracy...etc...etc...etc. Idjets seem to lump them all together and don't have a clue what they are talking about.

I don't care what you want to call the POTUS, I call him a lame duck.

I really hope some of the folks out there take the time to do some homework and some soul searching...you may be voting for the wrong damn party and aren't educated enough to know it...take some time and educate yourself.

First lets dismantle our war machine and then see what we can afford. We were warned what could happen if the war machine was allowed to get control. Plenty of cash for bombs, not so much for healthcare.

I find it hard to believe any thinking person would have such a terrible understanding of communism and the world around them as to consider Obama a Communist. Please, in the future, before posting, at the very least look up the definition of Communism. Obama is so far away from being a Communist, its ludicrous even to say his name in the same sentence. He, like Bush, Bush, Clinton, and Reagan, are much, much closer to fascism (which is an extreme far-right ideal) than to Communism (an extreme far-left ideal.)

You should have closed the article and laughed at it the moment they even made such a proclomation.

I cannot figure out which is more amusing.

The fact that Pravda states Obama has raised taxes even though the current rates are the lowest they've been in 60 years, or the fact that the staunchest anti-Communists on ATS are clinging to a pro-Communist newspaper, solely because it oposes Obama!

You could not have made my morning any better. Tomorrow when the Pravda article is old news, Obama will go back to being a Communist I guess???
