Two points:

1. It is interesting that showing Mo on TV is right out, but showing JC has not been associated with life-threatening threats.

JC would be an excellent model for say alcohol or alcohol-free drinks.

There are loads of alcoholic bingers in the Bible - Noah (built an ark for heavy rain) , Lot (incest with his daughters), Samson (hair cut off when drunk), Nabal (died on a spree), kings and princes

www.scionofzion.com...

When someone is told to become a Nazarite it means don`t drink of the vine.

Numbers 6:3 - The Nazarites were told to eat or drink nothing from the grape vine.

Perhaps if JC`s family were Nazarite it tells us that there may have been some, ahem, family problems i.e. abstinence was recommended.

And so it is puzzling that without muslim-like threats JC is not the number one son for Chrissy adverts regarding alcohol.

Wine is used in communion.

Red Bull tried using JC in ads in South Africa earlier this year but the ad was withdrawn.

A tasteful ad regarding forgiveness would be great for sales.

2. If on a more serious note if Chrissy is JC`S birthday why aren`t there more direct or indirect references to this in TV Chrissy ads? Surely the whole event is based around this but the association has almost been completely covered-up. Has England now lost it`s Christian identity at Chrissy forever?

Far too many abbreviations and junk in the post OP .. hugely distracting...

But nevetherless.. Christmas ( Crissy??!? ) is a tradition.. much of the imagery evolved over time.. the christmas tree is from pagan tradition.. the classic image of Santa Clause in his red suit is actually brought to you by Coca Cola in the 30s .. the holiday is largely dis-associated from Christ because even most Christians know that December 25th ISN'T Christ's birthday.. churches don't even preach that.. his actual birthday is not really known for sure but most believe it to be August or September... so really it's just a holiday tradition that celebrates his birth at the same time it celebrates St. Nicholas and "the spirit of giving" .. these days, it tries to be a holiday that pretty much anyone can associate with .. many non christians take part.. ( me )

'Xmas' was arguably a long established winter European festival hundreds if not thousands of years before Christianity came on the scene.

The non Christians have just taken it back.

Yeah, it was largely a pagan holiday .. the Christian's adopted the pagan holiday originally as a symbolic mark of Christ's birth to help bring more Pagan's into Christianity and to allow them to continue their celebration on the same date they already have been.. and many of their traditions ( Ie. Christmas Tree ) were adopted as well...

myself i like zeitgeist's explanation as it just makes sense to me
has to do with the event of the "sun or son" as it leaves a phase that aligns with the constellation referred too as "the southern cross"

it's been awhile since i watched it thanks to my kids insisting that i do...because they love n care about dear ol dad
but it goes like...(please correct me if my take is off here too)

the sun dies aligned in the constellation southern cross
then it dwells for a 3 day period because the movement at such apex is dead per se for 3 days
hence the 3 days of death
then it's ascending into it's new phase
so from the southern cross son alignment...a new son phase is celebrated...birth of a new sun

the constellations vertical leg of the cross points a trajectory that would align to the earths location of Jerusalem during it's dead-like movement at apex
