Anyway a while back i got some news sent to me either via twitter or my email that was a petition to sign to end the internet kill switch bill which i did, but by the looks of it there finding new ways and new companies trying to implement this, my real concern is if we do stop this particular cabal entity from getting this law across how many more entities will come up with the same B.S law and we got to do this over and over again...

What i think we need to do is have a law created and binded that prevents any power from implementing a kill switch and have the lettering in the law that is so clear and direct that no bull crap entity can come along and try to take away our freedoms.....

I'm going to be keeping a close eye on this and do whatever i can to prevent any kind of internet kill switch thanks for the info....

had another thought. People fought for so many years for freedom of speech, equality - we've come so far...now it seems as though the world is moving a bit backwards doesn't it? Seems like a vicious cycle of power.

There are too many people dealing with child pornography,general illegal activities. Also,the inherent anonimity has brought us this flock, this one enormous blob of soulless, mean, resented and sadistic people. Trolls,flamers and bullies. We can't just say "hey it's the internet,and we have free speech, deal with it". It's like saying "hey, humans like to kill humans, and insult others, deal with it, it's human nature". The first amendment is all americans need to cry about, but unfortunately it has been twisted to mean casting a vote, meaningless chatter and donate money to whatever party you want(even billions at a time). If I was obama and got 2 billion in my bank account then I think I owe him/her a few favors when I win.

People have been able to control what parts of the internet children can access for a long time now by built-in software and add-on software. Sites get blocked, cookies get blocked, virus and spyware get controlled somewhat, search results can be filtered(including videos and photos).

We don't need to censor free speach to go after criminal elements of society that should have been prosecuted a long time ago with existing legislation. They simply allow(or even encourage) problems to get out of hand so that they can introduce covertly comprehensive packages that censor. It is the classic bait and switch game....or some call it problem, reaction, solution.

Been here for 4 years and some things are obvious!

Sadly, I don't think enough people realize just how intense this control is going to be, until they notice something they need so badly is no longer available to them. They just go along with any new little rules, gradually adjusting, never questioning.
It already began years ago but there's still time to fight before there's nothing left to fight with.

We can't let them have all this power and control.

Ditto its not about killing the net that is not withing there power. All this is what all such things are always about, as said above taxing, censorship, and control. Though making a kill switch on the internet would be a good idea, It starting to get funny ideas by itself. Just in case you know it goes super sentient which is not likely to be for a while yet. But the internet going blank would not be such a bad thing, it would give people an excuse for going outside more. Been out there lately its like a deserted ghost town when the work hours end, If you stare long enough at the streets I swear you can even see the tumbleweeds drifting by in the winds.

But like I said baring some natural catastrophe I do not think the internet is going nowhere. In fact ever notice how human cities when you look at them from space of from the air look remarkably like computer circuitry on motherboards especially at night. I do believe a bunch of people sitting in offices making plans to kill switch the internet and this program which is our civilization are really kind of clueless on what is happening right before there faces, really they are bots, the human equivalent of electrons running through the circuitry they like to call cities.

i highly doubt that (at least here in "Merica) the government would kill all landlines, 3/4g phone service networks, dsl, t1, cable, satellite, etc. just to stop protesters from uploading youtube videos,

it's misuse of the internet that is the problem. Lots of people use it for the right reasons. Unfortunately, too many abuse it and ruin it for the rest of us.

Why kill the Internet? Good question - and here's an answer....

Let's say you are a government that wants to do something naughty? Like maybe open fire on a group of protesters who are making noise outside of your Federal building and making a general nuisance of themselves - and you decide "enough is enough" and you send in the riot police to bash heads and send a strong message.

Only that darned Youtube and that God awful Twitter... Yeah they cause quite the uproar when Governments do bad things.

So what to do? Oh, wait... You engage the private telecom companies in the area, bring them into the club so to speak... deputize them basically... Then all you need to do is make a phone call and ~wham~ no information gets out. You can have your way and then, later, when stuff eventually does leak? You can have your cover story and spin already planned out.

How many civil uprisings over the past several years have we ONLY gotten information about because of social media? Several.

Here's a thought. Want to know why genocide in Tibet isn't all the rage on the boards? Could it be because China already HAS this kind of control over THEIR Internet?

One of the greatest tools in a Democratic society is the flow of information.

And precedent? Want to know what the first thing the cops do during any sort of stand-off? They kill the phone lines so that the person inside cannot communicate with the outside world. This is the same concept on a larger scale.

The telecom companies are already in and are probably paying for this. French Telecom or whichever one is owned by Bouygues, is said to be the biggest player in the illuminati or PTB.
Check out what else he owns and who he is affiliated with and you will see the pieces of the puzzle falling into place. Of course he owns companies not in his name. He's running the show on much more than this anyways.
