Masked gunmen publicly shot dead six suspected collaborators with Israel in a large Gaza City intersection Tuesday, witnesses said. An Associated Press reporter saw a large mob surrounding five of the bloodied corpses shortly after the killing.

Some in the crowd stomped and spat on the bodies. A sixth corpse was tied to a motorcycle and dragged through the streets as people screamed, "Spy! Spy!"

The Hamas military wing, Izzedine al-Qassam, claimed responsibility in a large handwritten note attached to a nearby electricity pole. Hamas said the six were killed because they gave Israel in

Let's clear that up Islam itself is not at play here it is the manipulation of it playing on petty bigotry and intolerance,

A few "intellectual elite" is manipulating those that have a profound belief in Allah for their own gain.

It is nothing but a land grab, and power and control, and far too many let themselves be manipulated.

The wonderful peaceful religion of islam. Between the honor killings, the beheadings, sending their children to commit suicide while taking others with them, raping women who want to go to school, etc... It is just another day in search of paradise.

I don't excuse these types of killings by Hamas at all, but to be fair:

Research by the Gaza-based Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) found between the start of the Second Intifada in September 2000 until the end of June 2008, the Israeli military carried out 348 "extrajudicial execution operations" in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The attacks killed 754 Palestinians; 521 individuals specifically targeted and 233 civilian bystanders, including 71 children and 20 women.

Remember that Israel took out a bunch of Hamas leaders, which was a primary cause of the ensuing escalation. Hamas killing Israeli spies would be reciprocation more than savage violence.


It's important to realize that both sides are over the top in their operations.

I find it very telling that the onlookers a gathered around the bodies with their cell phones and cameras taking photos.

How many times do we see this same thing in our own countries? There may not be dead bodies involved, but there are many, many times when Americans will simply gawk, take footage and insta-gram it to their Facebook. "Like wow omg."

No one wants to stand up for civility and decency anymore it seems

normaly there is a quick trial before they kill spies, like last time

this one was quick....all six told to get on their knees...they were shot dead....on a public rd

their family names were written on the floor next to each blood stain, so the families know who they were

what they did next, with the dead bodies...is not worth mentioning....

but who would want to be caught out as a spy there?

and how do isreal reply....by saying

"yes we do have spies in gaza"....tut tut

They are such nice people. And to think those mean Israelis are picking on them.

I have absolutely no sympathy for the Palestinians in Gaza. Lets face it. You have the ME with 3 billion Muslims vs Israel with 17 million Jews. Israel is just trying to survive over there with the general consensus of the Muslims to wipe them from the face of the earth. Not even other ME countries like Egypt or Saudi Arabia care to offer the Palestinians one little sliver of sand to establish a state. They only tolerate the Palestinians because they offer a built-in excuse to rail against Israel.

I have always walked my own path when it came to "religous views" never been one to take "what someone tells me my beliefs " should be.

When it comes to religious "wars" man has never done anything in our makers name, they have always done it in theirs.

I must have a lot higher threshhold of incredulity than most.

I see a city street. What street is this?
I see a person taking a video of an incident that they seemed
to be aware in advance was about to take place.

I see what for all I know could be a mannekin being pulled
amongst a group of motorcycle riders.
Who gave the person taking the video the narrative to go with
their impromptu filming?

Whatever happened to collateral damage?
What ever happened to the right to defending yourself? (against spies).

Oh, I get it, the methodology was barbaric. True, I can't deny that. A more civilized nation would have waterboarded the suspect 400 times until they admitted to killing jfk and baby jesus and then had a extralegal trial where the defendant was not allowed to say the word torture.

A nicely placed Smart Bomb in that crowd would of at least rid us of 20-30 savages. The funny thing is, seeing how savage they are, they might have been completely mistaken and killed 6 of there own and thinking they were spys. LOL!!!! How Ironic that would be.

Either way, please, someone with a rational head on there shoulders, figure some way to create some sort of lasting peace between these two factions as it is getting a little old already. I mean, American football is just starting to get interesting and with Thanksgiving and Christmas ahead, the TV violence might keep some away from spending money they dont have.

Exactly my friend.

It's far less savage and ultimately more civilised to simply obliterate a whole house. At least the family who have exploded into a pile of guts and rubble should be grateful that they died in a civilised way.

Even less savage when the country doing the bombing is one of the most powerful armies in the world and they are practically using a small strip of land for target practice.

I'm sure you'd agree that the only thing that is lacking is a serious bombardment of clusterbombs or some white phosphorous to truly do the job.
