I really hope there isn't a draft..

I am 15 now but I realize the many difficulties with a draft. Wives divorce their husband (WWII era), people are joining a war in a cause they find unjust (Vietnam), and also now we are fighting a mislead war where nothing is certain (Iraq). I believe that war on terror has much more downsides than goodsides, it has allied all our enemies and without allied support we won't win the war on terror successfully. I really REALLY don't want there to be a draft, because I realize that it affects our future, and I know too many people who would effect my life from the people who are old enough to serve in Iraq from their respective age. Right now I honestly don't feel that we should make a draft because it would really scar peoples lives and in addition, it would make the state in America (I'm not saying our country since I realize that there are other nationalities here in the forum), kind of unberable. I have high aspirations to go to college or a University, and at this pace, if Bush continues his regime I would have to go to a Draft for the army for senior year and if that happened; I wouldn't be able to go to college to get a job .

I know this thread has been brought up before, but I would be really scared about there being a war, and knowing the Bush family we'd more then likely have it. What would be your opinion of the country if we had a draft >_>? I dont mean to be unpatriotic or anything, I would just goto Canada since then I wouldn't be a hinderance to the millitary. What would you do if that happened?

well young man as a father of six boys the oldest being 14 Im starting to worry as well . war is no longer a cut and dryed thing like world war 1 and 2 . Now wars are more and more being fought over political agendas then to protect people . And wile I understand we the people Of earth can not allow terrorest to bomb and kill with impunity the ways to go about stoping them seams to allude us . But one thing we (people should have learned through history is war is never going to stop them as a matter of fact all through out history its done use the oppsite .
The more war you have the higher the discontent grows untill you end up with a general collaps of socity . Im very afraid our world is headed that way very quickly even juging by what people wright on these forms.
More and more of them talking violance to solve theres Procived problems.
I very afraid theres not going to be a stably socity for my kids to grow up into .
