I think this is a thread that could lead to more hate, because we're entering in a game of comparisons where everything that's happened elsewhere on the board will happen again here. Some people will bash on France, making the French posters angry.

Otts,

I agree with you 100%. Corruption is found in all governments, even France and the U.S. I will have to say that "The Most Corrupt Nation on Earth Award" has got go to China!

Their civil-rights record is the epitome of all other corrupt governments. I really can't see how the U.S. or any other civilized nation can trade with China, knowing that they are the number one killer of babies in the world!

No where on Earth exists such a broad gap between the well-heeled and the dirt-poor as it does in China.

China has my vote!

Yes, we are all corrupt and specialised. Netherland is well known for drugs in Europ, France for the Free Massonery that sell weapons, USA with Skull and Bones who do the very same that Free massonery (FM and S'n B are daughter and represent the same famillies who has royal blood and the power over so many things they own), Italie for Berlusconi 's mafias, Afganistan for opium, Maroco for hashish, China for work of children, Australia for gold and diamons traffics, Canada (Qebec) for the traffic of bad singers and actors...

We are all as bad. The more corrupted contry is the world, I mean the rich and secret services like CIA, French secret services, Russia...

They work hand in hand till a long time!! Do you know about the club of the 300 who traffic drugs over the world? (Beatrix, Bush, Mitteran... are or were said to be of that club that sell and organize the traffic of cocane)

Canada. Definitely Canada.

Something wrong? Blame Canada. They're not even a real country anyway.

I was going to say that if you want corruption you should come to Mexico but saw the list and we are 63 of 133...so we are in the middle.

Makes me wonder, how low can you get?...

After having studied Russian organized crime from a few sources, I don't have any doubt that that country is indeed on top of the corruption list.

Detailed motivation for my opinion would take a few pages, so I'll skip it for brevity. In essence, organized crime (in its most violent forms) took control of virtually all industry and banking. The seats in the Parliament are sold for $1M to $2M. The corruption is pervasive and self-perpetuating.

On a lesser scale, try the following exercise -- buy a trailer of produce in some neighboring agricultural area, such as Moldova. Then, try to truck it into the city of Moscow and sell it at one of the many local markets. I can promise you the brightest scenario would be the loss of your property. People who control that trade will (easily) make sure you don't sell a single apple, and the best you can hope for is getting rid of the produce at salvage prices. And don't count on the police.

That country is broken. We can speculate how the US is corrupt, or the French have the freemasons... Russia still tops them all by a long shot.

Have you lived there? Or have you read this?

I think that answers my question...

I have lived in that country for 27 years and still visit often. In fact, I just came back from Russia. I know many stories corraborating my point, from my father's business experience, and my friends'.

I hope that answers your question.

In addition, your juxtaposition of Eltsin vs Putin is moot. The former shooed-in the latter in power in exchange for immunity for his own crimes. Which makes the latter an accomplice.

Peace.

My guess is that one of the African countries, Burma, or maybe some South American. But that is only a guess so I cant say for sure. USA is not corrupt I think it is just that they like to bash each other.

Watch you language, kozel. I don't care how you spell Eltsin in English. As for you still being there, thanks for staying on your side of the Atlantic, and please continue being a servant (shesterka) for the mafia and such.

Read carefully what you just posted. You have a disdain for Uzbeks yet consider yourself open-minded? Pu-leeezee.

And I don't need your welcome here, dude.

Yes I'm 100% Russian, although that country has become such a cesspool lately that there is little reason to be proud of that designation, unfortunately.

People like Ivankov (Iaponchik) and other "vory v zakone" rule all of you. So be proud, fella. Tvoe mesto u parashi.

It's very idiomatic

"Vory v zakone" is slang, and means "bosses of the underworld" in plain English. The rest of the phrase is not informative

Interearthling - re China, I saw a pretty telling ad about the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. It denounces China's human rights and executions record. I have to find the video of it...

The ad opens on a Chinese marathon runner, feet in the starting blocks, concentrating... another Chinese guy, wearing a black suit, arrives with a gun to give the signal... raises his gun in the air... then lowers the gun to the runner's head.

Fade to black.

BANG.
