Revelation ch1 says about God that;
He WAS, IS, and IS TO COME.
Revelation ch17 says about the Beast that;
He WAS, IS NOT. and IS TO COME.
Comparing the two statements, IS and IS NOT are obviously exact opposites.
So the point must be that the Beast is the exact opposite of God.
edit on 18-11-2012 by DISRAELI because: (no reason given)
The Beast is chained up in darkness for 1000 years (IS NOT), while Christ was, IS and will be yet to come after the 1000 years. The Beast will also
be released after the 1000 years. What happens on the eighth day?
The seventh day (Day of the Lord) is the end of the natural cycle of time. The eighth day is above the natural cycle of time and time is no more.
This is Eternity never ending.
Enoch 33:1
"And I appointed the eighth day also, that the eighth day should be the first-created after my work, and that the first seven circles in the form of
the seventh thousand, and that at the beginning of the eighth thousand there should be a duration of not-counting, endless, with neither years nor
months nor weeks nor days nor hours.
Revelation 20
7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the
earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. 9 They marched across the breadth of the
earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And the devil, who deceived
them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever
and ever.
After this, assuming the eighth day is getting ready to start, the great white throne of judgement engages.
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead
were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the
dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The
lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
Currently, we are at the tipping point of the seventh day when a Holy Spirit is given to those who are marked by Christ.
