I have not seen this stated anywhere on the boards, if I put it into the wrong forum, mods please move to the correct forum, as I feel this needs to have major attention brought to it.
As of December 29, 2012, the state of Indiana will no longer have unemployment benefits. I can not post pics, but there is a bright orange paper at the unemployment office on the stating what I just stated. I think the end of this year will go down in the annels of history as one of the worst years. I am thankful I have a job, but that can change at anytime. I feel so sorry for the people who depend on it to live.
Just please people, try to help one another out, love thy neighbor, do unto others as you would have them do onto you, It's about to get real ulgy, real quick. Godspeed everyone.
I don't care about stars and flags people, I just would like to get this info out there, It's kinda important. Peoples lives might depend on it.edit on 18-11-2012 by thepolish1 because: had to add last thought
If Congress does not reauthorize federal unemployment programs, more than 2 million unemployed Americans will abruptly stop receiving checks on Dec. 28. It's one of the less-discussed aspects of the so-called "fiscal cliff," the moment when a host of tax hikes and spending cuts take effect at the end of the year.
Congress has waited until the last minute to reauthorize extended unemployment insurance during the holiday seasons of each of the previous three years. Republicans have opposed keeping jobless aid without offsetting its cost via spending cuts elsewhere in the budget, but relented on that point at the end of 2010 when the benefits were paired with continuations of the Bush-era tax cuts.

Of course it is all ending. Unemployment was only extended just long enough to keep Obama's voting block. The unemployed have served their purpose, benefits will now stop.
You are now released back into the pool, to go back to being the responsibility of your state..
Same will happen with welfare and foodstamps.

People who are on benifits should never "relax".
Daily survival is at stake here.
If anything, people need to go back to school and learn a trade, not a diploma, open a small business, maybe take that lower paying job.
You only relax when you die. Until then, keep up the good fight.

I completely agree with you on that, however, when you are on unemployment benefits, you lose them if you go back to school. Not too many people know that. You are supposed to be actively seeking a job, and you can't if you are enrolled in school.
You can go back to school when you are working, but that has to be on your own dime.
The "relax" comment was meant to let people know that their benefits are not going to be automatically cut off as of December 29th. As soon as they can figure out how to Rob Peter, to pay Paul, the funds will be available.
Without the OP understanding how this works, it's sort of like Chicken Little.edit on 18-11-2012 by Sissel because: (no reason given)
