Hamas has an army. Food is been brought into Gaza. Israel withdrew from Gaza years ago. Hamas does not care about kids, it wants to fight Israel. It actually declared that it is in state of war with Israel.

Agreed, no matter which side you stand on, introducing chemical weapons into the conflict would be an inconceivable escalation.

The Israeli's are guaranteed to go nuts and immediately flood Gaza with what are sure to be very scared and unsympathetic to world opinion IDF ground troops.

There is also the historic problem of the randomness of chemical weapons, especially when coupled with imprecise unguided delivery systems.

Most likely the report is inaccurate or Hamas are trying to use the threat to end the airstrikes.

But Hamas openly says it fires the rockets. Reporters from Gaza say that they see rockets being fired from Gaza. What are you talking about?

I vote this is B.S. and Breitbart needs to stop swallowing every little fish that floats by in the news stream. Half of them are little red herrings.

It's not that I don't think Hamas is capable of it..I'm sure they are. It's not that I don't think they could make it. Hell, I could make Sarin in my bathroom....if killing myself wasn't a problem. lol... It's not a technical difficulty, especially when they now have friends in Nation-State positions that have all the resources imaginable within places like Libya and Egypt.

I call B.S. on this because Hamas cannot possibly be THAT terminally stupid. The first Chem warhead to be confirmed would be the absolute end of Hamas and to the last breathing human being known to exist within that organization. I don't believe Israel would go homicidal as Hamas may hope and blindly level Gaza if they got some nasty goop dropped into Tel Aviv. I DO think they'd make the Black September hunt after Munich look like nothing more than a tactical exercise and training event. Nowhere on Earth would be safe for a single member of Hamas after that.

Look at the bright side though.. If Hamas slimed Israel, Israel eradicates Hamas like a roach infestation....and the Palestinian Authority (generally the level headed and reasonable of the bunch anyway) can take over full administration of Gaza as well as the West Bank. LONG term might even see benefits. I'd just never hope to see it come by way of chemical warfare into civilian populations.

According to the Stratfor site, there is no confirmation that Hamas has gotten chemical weapons. There have been rumors for months that Libya sold several thousand mustard gas shells, along with other chemical weapons, but no confirmation.
