Hi guys
I'd never heard of Dennis Prager before today but I'm sure our American cousins will have, no doubt some will love him and some will hate him. This thread is not about who likes whom,it is just a very simple explanation of the Arab Israeli conflict. This is not a thread to bash either the Palistinians or the Jews merely to inform the less enlghtened of the facts.

I've never tried to embed a video before so I hope this works.
If not the link is HERE

True it may come across as biased but it is still a statement of facts. Thanks for taking the time to watch it

Peace

Not facts. I'm sorry that you think that stating it as a fact makes it so.

If your friends need affirmation such as that, of course, yes. No need to ask.

He is a professor but i was a citizen of an occupied country. I think that counts just a bit more.Today is remembrance day for my people and today we also pray for Palestine because we know how it feels. Books and facts are one thing but WAR - that's something else.

Would you care to address and dispute the facts he presented?

A very simple propaganda piece aimed at an uninformed audience, which is an abundant one in the USA. Just like the conflict itself, its a time proven distortion of facts, points of view and history. It preys on the weak foundation of knowledge Americans have about the conflict to manipulate an unrealistic contemporary pt of view

I dispute his intention on how his selected 'facts' are understood by his audience

Pushing that junk here demonstrates that you have desire for understanding the conflict, rather you desire just to manipulate a gullible audience to look the other way while war crimes are committed.

Unrealistic?

I would love to know what your "realistic" point of view is.

Why don't you enlighten us and tell us what this conflict is all about.

The truth is, Hamas started shooting rockets into Israel because Abbas went before the General Assembly to make the Palestinians an "observer" at the U.N. That vote comes due on November 29th. Once they become an observer, they are one step closer to creating a Palestinian state. The problem is, once a Palestinian state is created, they'll be forced to recognize Israel as a Jewish state and the extremists (such as Hamas and the leaders of Iran) won't have it. Not to mention the fact that the extremists are totally against any kinds of NEGOTIATIONS regarding the land. They believe that land should be taken by resistance and not negotiations.

The real conflict is between the moderate and extremist Muslims, just like it's always been, unfortunately, Israel is caught up in the middle of it.

Do some research.

He also flies an Israeli flag on his house, that however doesn't change the historical facts, I lived in Israel for 10 years as a non jew and served in the IDF. Rest assured if the arab world layed down their weapons the average Isreali would not see any reason to start a war. All they want, the same as the average Palistinian is to work to provide for their kids and live in peace

Yeah, we can all post videos that seem to support one side. Facts are very skewed and MANY omitted out in your video.
You may feel the same about some of these:

Or perhaps in the wise and trusted words of Noam Chomsky and Victor Kattan:
