Why the hatred for the Israelis?

There is a general odour of Israeli hatred on this forum recently and to be honest I am a bit perplexed as to why this is so.The Jews were driven out of Europe after the second World War because no country wanted to harbour them so they were forced to settle on land that was not historically theirs. These people have to live somewhere right? Then people get on their backs when they strike the Palastinians after being bombarded by rocket attacks, these Palestinians hide behind Civilians and with cowardly acts of indescriminatley showering rockets on Jewish settlements. Are Israel not allowed to defend themselves? If Israel were just left be there would be no aggression, but they get attacked from all sides and their neighbours have been quite open about wanting to wipe Israel off the map. Is this really fair? I for one have sympathy for the Israeli people.

Well if Hamas didn't hide amongst the civilians and launch rocket attacks from there, Israel would not be forced to fire back. Simple no?

What would you do if the U.N kicked you out of your house and then gave it to other people?

Those people didn't have a home and they have to live somewhere right?

No one hates Israelis, they disagree with the actions of some of them

Why are there people who assume if you don't support something someone does, that that means you "hate" them?

If the Israelis didn't take over Palestinian land and treat them like trash in the process, nobody would have launched anything at the Israelis.

Also, I believe the "hatred" is directed towards the Israeli government.

Of course they do, but the situation is as it is. Tel Aviv cannot be dug up and moved into the middle of the Sahara so they just have to find a sollution for all, which will involve compromise from both sides.

Compromise might be possible when both sides can negotiate as equals. That is not a present day circumstance. The walls of apartheid see to that.

Israel has broke 65 UN resolutions with no consequences, Iraq broke two and got invaded, bombed and destroyed... Have a look at the death ratio between Palestine are Israel... Its about 10.1

I guess it things like the white phosphorus attack in a UNRWA school in Beit Lahia in Gaza. It is illegal to use in civilian areas and a crime under international law...

Well, since you asked, Europe has been well acquainted for several centuries of what the Jews usury and
banking practices have wrought.

Most of what you and the rest of the world have been told about the Holocaust is propaganda.
It was spread to give an excuse and cover for taking away the homes and land in the area of Palestine and given to the Jews as a homeland via the Balfour Agreements.

This is to have a foothold of power in the Middle East from which to topple government regimes of oil rich nations.
This is often portrayed as Israel holding the ultimate trump card of being GOD's chosen people.
Under this guise many wars can be fought and sold as something else other than being ruthless grabs for
money, oil and power.

One of our local newspapers pretty much hit the nail on the head as to why this conflict in Gaza. It is pretty much part of the election campaign. A small yet victorious war has always had a positive effect on election results.

For those who still don't get it. There are elections in Israel at the end of January.

mass murder of elderly , women, children, stealing peoples land... bulldozing peoples homes while they're still in them... running people over with tanks.... to put mildly and politely genocide and oppression are not accepted values in any society.... thats why israel is not accepted or respected... I will speak out against israel and the evil it commits as long as I draw breath...

I did not say WP was illegal. I said it was illegal to use in civilian areas. Why do you not think they were civilian areas can you not see the civillians running back and forth.

If you think war crimes are ok. Please go on and continue to defend them. You are defending the Fourth Estate and it is falling..

The area around Jerusalem is the historic homeland of the Jews. Others are squatters. The Arabs and related tribes have vast vast areas of land to live in. They look like greedy nuts that just cant stand the fact that a small area of land over their is run by the Jews.

The Palestinians and others are brainwashed from birth to have national anxiety about that bit of land and that city. The rest of the Arab world treats the Palestians like trash, good for only being manipulated into war tension to further the anti-jew maddness of their masters.

The Palestianians need to learn that the people that now drive them are the same that ran the Jews out years ago. And the Palestianians have no claim to the land. They have been used and lied to.

Israel calls themselves a humanitarian country? I do not think so...the IDF are evil.

I don't hate Israelis, or anyone else, for that matter.

Man, one of the things about this place that really irritates me is the "WE" word. And "US". There is no "WE", and there is no "US". "WE" didn't make the world the way it is today, and "WE" aren't the ones starting wars. The people in control are responsible. Are they Israelis? Americans? Jews? Do I care? No, not really. If they were blue with pointed ears and almond eyes, I would still want them out of power. And I'm sick of this, really. It isn't Israelis, as a whole. It's whoever is calling the shots. Do you really think that every single Israeli got together and decided to do this, or that? Is every American a rich old white man in a suit that lives in a mansion and hides his money in off-shore accounts? Didn't think so. Am I the one firing missiles? Didn't think so. This B.S. needs to stop. Now.

YES! Every nation has a right to defend itself. They can blow each other to smithereens for all I care. Just don't expect the U.S. to fight their battles for them. There is no universal law requiring Israel to exist. If it falls, it falls. The only government I have a problem with is my own for trying to be a dominating force in the world - this is NOT why we elect politicians.
