HILLARIOUS.....Senator McCain goes bats$%# when a cnn reporter asks him why he is giving a news conference complaining that he hasn't gotten enough info on Benghazi WHILE an intelligence briefing he is supposed to be at on Behngazi is taking place at the same time!

“I have no comment about my schedule and I’m not going to comment on how I spend my time to the media,”

"I have the right as a senator to have no comment and who the hell are you to tell me I can or not?”

I think he forgot that he works for us?

Well at least Obama is aware that he didn't belong in an intelligence meeting. Bush wasn't smart enough to know he wasn't smart enough to be in an intelligence meeting
This is a joke for those Republican fanatics who can't see it.

I think one of the pillars of disfunction amongst conservatives right now is that they think what Bill O'Reilly says matters. He's a bobble head trying to make money. Hey the left has them too...but Democrats don't look to bobble heads to tell them what to think...

So...on to the intelligence briefing....so far..

The Committee has seen a compilation of on-scene videos and drone videos spanning the whole time from before to after.

They show two things...First what looks like protests at the gate and a second highly co-ordinated attack inside the compound.

Sidenote: Presidential candidates begin getting intelligence briefings about a month out from election day in order to facilitate transition. Romney got high-level intelligence briefings right after the first debate. Which answers the question that Republicans are complaining about....Why didn't Romney try to hammer Obama on Benghazi after that first debate or bring it up on the campaign trail after that? Cuz Romney knew that dog would not hunt. He knew the Obama adminstration didn't ef up. He had intelligence that Congress did not and knew that the GOP were headed for egg on thier face by politicizing this.

If ever there was a question of wether the GOP was more interested in exploiting dead Americans than uncovering the truth, this OP ends that question...

Giving a news conference about "wanting answers" while skipping the briefing where answers are being provided.

And you would know this because you personally saw the video at the top secret meeting about what happened at Benghazi. What i find really interesting is how people will jump to "well the president even if hes not at the briefings will know" lol like they are going to send him information on his top secret iphone lol. First off wireless transmission isn't secure enough so nice try. Then we get "well Romney had to know about it" lol the attack happened on Sept. 11 only 2 weeks after he won nomination and hadn't even debated Obama yet so i guess that blows a hole in your theory again

The final official votes for the Republican nominees for president and vice president took place at the Republican National Convention in Tampa Bay, Florida—the three-day convention from Tuesday, August 28, to Thursday, August 30. The 2012 Democratic National Convention followed in the first week of September in Charlotte, North Carolina.

I give solid facts based of the presidents attendance to his meetings written by the Washington post for crying out loud. On top of this I provide evidence that the assumptions taken by posters with a bunch of stars actually are wrong. I show the hypocrisy in this post by pointing out the president only showed up to his briefings 48 to 38 percent of the time. The media has proved that the official story the white house gave about the youtube video is false. The CIA directors life when about to be questioned turns into a Mexican soap opera and the presidents Secretary of State Hillary Clinton steps down. Yet the guy asking for a congressional internal investigation into the matter is discredited because he didn't show up to a briefing held by the same people who blamed the whole event on a youtube video then sent a guy to jail over his right to free speech! You people amaze me!

on top of all this we get article like this
m.weeklystandard.com...
stating the president Has Not Participated in the Investigation' of Benghazi

why didn't he participate well because he wants to make sure hes correct lol sure he doesn't want to get caught in a lie he cant get out of like the one about the youtube video

No offense but I don't think you understood my post...I numbered yours for the sake of answering.

(1)I did not personally see the video being shown in the intelligence briefing, but it has been widely reported by attendees there and they have explained exactly what the video shows? Are you claiming that the Dems and few GOP that attended are both lieing about what they saw?

(2) Confused...The Intelligence briefing of congress is to bring them up to date on intelligence that the President already has...why does he need a top secret iphone? or to attend?

(3) What? What does when Romney got the nomination have to do with it? Romney didn't get intelligence briefings until after the first debate...at the same time he stopped bringing up Benghazi as a lever on the President...Most notably on the debate about foriegn policy where remarkably Romney dropped the issue altogether not mentioning it all...despite it being the number one issue the GOP at large were trying to hammer Obama with.

No offense...but your post seems poorly informed and confused.

#1 Why would anyone show up to a briefing about this subject when they had been lied to about it before?

#2 The statement about the iphone was at kali's comment about the president sipping tropical alcoholic beverages and still being up to date. the most secure way of getting information is face to face with advisers in a secure location the top secret Iphone was a joke that I elaborated on.

#3 proves you do not know what you are talking about in your post you made it seem like Romney had been given a briefing on the subject while running for president. I proved that assumption incorrect by showing the timeline of when he was nominated. The fact that he didn't bring anything up is nothing but being clever enough not to talk about a subject he has little to no knowledge of in a debate with someone who has a lot of knowledge about it.

Anything else you need me to elaborate on Indigo?

You could start by "elaborating" on why you...and you are not alone on ATS...pridefully just say crap that is factually untrue?

Romney to receive intelligence briefings starting next week By Daniel Strauss - 09/13/12

"For the last several weeks, the Romney campaign has been in touch with the intelligence community to arrange intelligence briefings for Gov. Romney and Rep. Ryan, consistent with tradition," Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said in an email to The Hill. "They will begin next week and, beyond that, we will have no further comment."

thehill.com...

Tuesday...October 16, 2012, Presidential debate..foreign policy

AND Romney decides not to mention Benghazi EVEN ONCE....It elicited absolute outcries from the GOP in Congress.

Forgot to add this huh Romney and vice presidential nominee

Paul Ryan had not begun receiving intelligence briefings similar to those the president and vice president receive — a courtesy usually extended to the opposing party's nominees once they are formally nominated.

so even if they did receive intelligence briefings it is not the same as the ones the president and the vice president receive so in effect the opposing party doesn't get the same briefings until they are formally nominated but before that you said it was once they stated debating each other lol. This article conveniently leaves out Romney but states its a a courtesy usually extended to the opposing party's nominees once they are formally nominated

nominees = plural means more then one there is only one nominee for vice president and one nominee for president President Obama is already president and Biden is already vice president.

for two years the republicans had one agenda, make obama a one term president.

now making useless noise and preventing the federal government from doing anything useful is all they know, no surprise.

the real problems of the usa will not be addressed as long as the republicans control congess, they are nothing but static noise, no real purpose other than protecting the tax ripoff of the corporations fleecing america.

the mental and spiritual rabies of fox news have become the food of the federal republicans, they now believe their own bs.

i have voted republican at the local and state level when they present decent candidates, but in washington they all seem to be worst than useless.

they don't care about the phony issues they bring up, just a bunch of idiots making noise for the sake of their constituents addicted to their lies, no surprise.

the democrats are bad enough, but the republican congress is a hopeless bunch of professional idiots ,imo.

they don't care about benghazi, they're just filling the air with their phony concerns.

Wow...everytime I show a claim of yours to be factually incorrect you move on to a new claim...well OK...Now that you acknowledge that Romney got intelligence briefings...You are now complaining he didn't get them soon enough?

Off topic, but I will indulge here. Intelligence briefings are extended as a courtessy by the intelligence agencies and if they chose to wait until there was a single GOP Nominee until briefing them, good for them. Did you see the maniac crew that was running for the nomination? Herman Cain??? Rick Perry couldn't even name the branches of government! I will give the CIA a pass if the held off sharing our nations secrets with those folks until there was at least one moron to deal with rather than a dozen.

That is the point. They wanted public briefings instead of confidential ones.

I love how when liberals are in power they suddenly highly support tyrannical tactics and heavy authoritarianism.

They are much better at being self professed victims.

WOW.

What a display of arrogance! I'm not really surprised that he's slowly loosing his mind. I mean, he did pick Sarah Palin as his running mate.

If he would have pulled that stunt in the private sector, he'd be fired for his behavior and attitude.

Oh what a suprise, republican representatives of the people who won't be bothered to do the job they were elected by the people to do. Wonder what lobbiest paid them to not go to the meeting they can't be bothered with.
Gee whiz, think that scum like this NOT doing the jobs they were elected to do is the problem in Washington. No time for the peoples business when you have to be with your mistress,or get drunk,or take a bribe.
Ya I know it isn't just the republicans. They just seem like they aren't smart enough to not get caught.

No, you don't understand.

Its not the lack of information the Republicans are moaning about..its the lack of obama being crusified and impeached they are moaning about.
This information is not helpful in the big picture...

See, now they are going to have to go back to the birth certificate issue now! Are you happy?!! We almost learned some geography..but noooo, the libs need to interrupt a perfectly good witch hunt with facts and open access.

So ya...anyhow...whats Orly up to these days...

For some reason that I would love to know why, King and Romney's tone did a turnaroud after they were briefed about Benghazi. I am beginning to believe republicans found out something THEY don't want the rest of us to know. Being a democrat, I would love to know what it is. There is much more to this whole story with Petreaus, sex scandal, Benghazi.
