Have you had time to come up with the answer for the question of Live begining without DNA and a living cell yet ?

My intelligence really does not matter. I have chosen to deny myself to follow God. So your judgement means nothing, for it is a judgement of flesh. Flesh will pass away. God's judgement, the judgement of Spirit, is the one I care about. I've always been fond of saying, anybody who thinks they know anything for sure is a fool. I don't know any more than anybody else. But I know what I think is true, and that happens to let me lead a life I am proud of.

Yes! And the answer is: The first living cell was NOT created by an all-knowing, all-powerful, invisible being who created the whole universe, lives in another dimension called heaven, is perfect in every way, was never born and will never die.

But, that question came from your mind, so I really appreciate it.

If your intelligence doesn't matter; if you have chosen to deny yourself, then what life are you leading?
Let's suppose for a moment that there really is a god. If he didn't want you to experience all that life has to offer, and all of the emotions he gave you, then why in thee hell would he have created you?

I would hate for my children to give up their thoughts, feelings, and potential experiences just for me. I gave them life to experience everything and learn from it. I admit that I'm a little different from god in that I would never allow a book to be written that suggests that I want to kill homosexuals, or that I killed everyone on the face of the earth.

As far as the teachings of Jesus goes, I would never want my kids to be a bunch of forgiving sheep. This life is hard and cruel. I want my kids to defend themselves, not turn the other cheek. I want them to call the cops if someone steals their coat.

The belief in a god is pure garbage.

You do not believe in what you believe is true,

That would mean your truth is relative,

You believe in THE Truth,

2 John 1

King James Version (KJV)

1 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;

2 For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

3 John 1

King James Version (KJV)
3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.

4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

Your brother,

In Grace, Mercy, Love and Truth of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Amen

If God really wanted us to be certain of his existence, he would herald himself to all mankind. There is a lot more that can be accomplished by uncertainty, albeit some of it is evil. I don't "know" the truth. But I have a good idea about what the truth is. I think that truth is encoded in the heart of all people. Only the head overrides what the heart thinks it knows. But we can never be certain of anything. For example, I am not certain that the entire universe wasn't created yesterday and every memory and evidence to the contrary just an elaborate trick to make me think I've been around longer than I have. Anybody who says this isn't a possibility, however slim it may be, is a fool and more closed-minded than the most evangelical of Christians.

The Lord Jesus Christ did come to man on earth . Still look at those who denied him . Some would never believe .

Read the entire 2nd and 3rd Epistles of St. John the Apostle of Jesus Christ,

You can be rest assured you believe in the Truth,

You do not believe in cunningly devised fables or fairy tales or imaginations,

If Christ was not raised, our labor is in vein,

God bless

Then give the reason for the authority you claim to have in the great question . You spout that the bible is fiction , Tell us how you know this .On what do you base your theory ?And it is a theory . Even science can not answer the question . They are looking to an intelligent culture not in this world . Could that be the God of Creation ?
I find it ludicrous for you to state as fact there is no God if you can't prove otherwise . You insult Christian people without your facts straight .

Aww. You think you won. How cute.

You should take a look at every post you made on this thread. Notice how you did not once bring up a valid argument or a good point about how belief in God is wrong? You only insulted my intelligence. You are no better than a common bully. Grow up, and maybe God will allow you to seek Him. I hope so, for your sake.

Just to be clear, there is a difference between truth (fire burns, kittens are cute, knowledge is power...), and what is considered a 'greater' truth. If the belief in a god is a greater truth, even if a god really existed, what good is it or him?

The truth is you still have to earn money to buy food. You still have to take care of your health. You still have to protect your family. Criminals need to be caught and go to jail. We still have to tolerate the differences between each other. You don't steal from me and I won't steal from you. Without this type of truth mankind would fall apart - god or no god.

The only time a god actually comes into play is when he is used as a justification to kill or to control the masses.

One hundred thousand years before mankind built the first city or temple, humans still loved their children. They still had laws amidst each tribe that protected each other in some way. Stealing had to be wrong even way back then. Telling lies was probably punished. Without a god to guide them, they must have figured out for themselves the difference between right and wrong. Mankind would not have survived otherwise.

What makes you think they didn't have God? Even of they never wrote of Him or made art depicting him, they could've felt his presence and felt he would always be there.

The end result is the the same, yes. We have to live in this world that is. Not one that might or could be, but the one that is. But I warn you, if you live a life ignorant of God, you transgress Him in the ultimate way, by ignoring him. Every action has a consequence. You think denying God is any different?

Jeez, there are so many threads with so many points on how the belief in a god is wrong. Do we have to re-write them every time?

You only insulted my intelligence. You are no better than a common bully. Grow up, and maybe God will allow you to seek Him. I hope so, for your sake.

Excuse me? How can anyone insult your intelligence if YOU consider your intelligence to be irrelevant? Did I mis-read your statement of how your intelligence doesn't really matter? I don't think so. I bet you also believe that you are nothing. You are a humble sinner, unworthy of god's love. Your human thoughts and feelings don't count for anything. You should be flat on the floor and crying out for god to forgive all of your human imperfections. And, you just can't wait for the world to blow itself to pieces so we can all be with god in his kingdom.

Jiggerj is calling to you, SpiritofEnoch! Can you see a little of just how ridiculous beliefs such as these are? Can you see how this is what an abusive parent would teach his child?

Christians insult themselves. They live their entire lives based on a BOOK!

Try, SimonPeter, just TRY looking at the bible as though it were a poorly written work of fiction. Don't let your eyes glaze over and forgive the glaring flaws in it. Sure, one or two flaws might mean that, though god inspired, the men that wrote the stories aren't perfect. But the number of flaws goes way beyond human error. The accounts of certain events go way beyond the unbelievable, to the point where even a fanatic would have to flinch at them.

I'll just give two because I don't like writing long posts.

1. When Jesus died, all of the dead saints rose up and roamed the city. No way. Don't go there. Didn't happen. Not true. Don't even try to defend this bulls%$&.

2. Jesus said that the greatest commandment of all is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. But, Jesus IS god, right? So, if this is the greatest commandment why didn't he give it to Moses???? I mean, he withheld the greatest commandment from being included in the ten commandments? Isn't this, for lack of a better word, stupid?

First, my intelligence may be irrelevant, but that does not mean it's not there. I have considered your point of view, and I find it flawed in key areas. I don't consider myself unworthy of God because the price has been paid for me. I am a human and the only flaw therein that I recognize is actually the fact that I don't know anything. And that you claim to only shows your ignorance. The only Truth belongs to God. If you don't believe in Him, then you need to make peace with the fact that you will never know anything. The only reason I look forward to death or judgement day is for the same reason that you are anxious to get the results of your final exams in school. I try to shepherd my fellow men because that is what God commanded.

Second, the first commandment is "thou shalt hold no other Gods before me."
