How much longer will you deny the Truth?

You've been warned,

Your perpetual denial of Salvation will leave you with no one to blame for your condemnation aside from yourself.

Again, you've been warned

Where was the warning?

You just copy and pasted an entire web page and then said "repent"....

Have you actually read any of the bible?

The story has more holes in it then swiss cheese... Yet you say the truth is absolute?

Perhaps you might point the readers towards said truth instead of condeming us?

Most of the Christians we have on ATS are what the church calls "baby Christians". We do have a few older, and more seasoned ones. But the majority are newer converts filled with zealousness from the pulpit every Wednesday and Sunday. They haven't even worn out their first bible yet.

Does the fact many people don't agree with evolution make it untrue?

If one single person discovered a universal truth and it took 10 years for the entire world to believe in it, would that one person be subjectively believing a lie until other people started accepting the truth?

I study the Bible in the original manuscript form using the Westminster Leningrad Codex Masoretic Text and the Textus Receptus with a Strongs Concordance and AV English Bible for upwards of 60 hours per week every week.

When I'm not studying the Bible I'm preaching the Word, if I'm not studying or preaching I'm sleeping or occasionally eating.

I did, that's why I am a Christian.

Now, which one of us has come to a false conclusion?

One of us is believing in lies...

The difference is, I spent decades in your world, preaching, teaching, witnessing, studying, praying, and walking what I talked. I have been where you are, and I would say for much longer than you have been. You, on the other hand, have yet to go through what I went through to get where I am now. Most likely, you never will go through it. And maybe that's a good thing for some.

godlover25, I also profess that Jesus Christ is my Savior, Lord and God, that He died in my place and was propitiation for my sins, a gift which I did not deserve but which was given in love. He rose from the dead after three days and now sits at the right hand of God, the Father, in heaven. I also believe that He has sent His Holy Spirit to indwell me and guide me into transformation to righteousness. This is despite (or perhaps because of) my skepticism and scientific background.

Our perception of color and the physics of color are very complex, for instance, we are particularly poor at seeing red but our brain "amplifies" our perception of red to balance it out. Also at low light levels, our color sensitivity falls rapidly below our monochrome sensitivity and so our brain again "paints" scenes in colors it deems appropriate but may not actually be true. Professional lithography and color printing use a four color Pantone process, not a five color process and so doesn't actually match the five Hebrew words (as i see you mentioned).

I can well believe that ancient Hebrew included attributes about the qualities of light encoded in the words as it is truly a remarkable pictographic language, but i will research the subject more before drawing any absolute conclusions (sometimes people, in the zeal, have sadly been known to misrepresent the truth).

I'll report back to this thread if I have time.

Thank you sir,

I apologize if I misrepresented any facts, I am not looking to deceive or spread my false notions or ideologies, I am simply a truth seeker and believe everybody should know the reality of our existence to the best of our abilities

That's not the right ONE!

Do you do anything useful?

I've been through the ringer,

Through death, disease, struggle, poverty, false imprisonment, loss of family and friends, amongst other tragedies, I've held onto my faith, and my tribulations have strengthened me.

I doubt I'll ever lose my faith,

Once you meet Jesus Christ,

it's hard to stop believing on Him

Or do you just falsely collaborate?

The Masoretic text post-dates Christ and has been translated so that references that unambiguously refer to Christ are "revised".

A better and truer version would be a modern translation based upon the Septuagint, which was reliably translated by a team of 70 of the best Hebrew scholars at the time and was completed well before Christ was incarnated.

It was then published throughout the Greek reading Roman world and so there are so many copies that there are no "missing" segments or ambiguous translations.

I'd prefer to study the Septuagint, but the program I use has the MT built into it.

The differences are not enormous though, I have faith the MT is preserved in a faithful manner by dedicated persons of God.

The Masoretes were pretty meticulous

Are you Orthodox by any chance?

Raised Baptist but somewhat pentecostal (I know, a conundrum considering my skepticism)
(Grafted into the vine).

BTW: Do a comparison between Isiah 57 in both versions. Many passages in Isiah were 'scrubbed' clean of references to Christ.

Age is irrelevant.

Some of the wisest people I've ever met were 4 - 7 years old,

Some of the biggest fools ive ever known were 70 year old "wise men"

You would not recognize either and you avoided the real question. Besides, I don't believe you. All you've got going for you is rhetoric. You don;t know what The Truth is. You wouldn;t recognize it if it were in front of you. You've just bought off on a big Cargo Cult. Pardon while the rest of the world yawns at your arrogance.

What is your version of Truth?

And if your truth is THE Truth, what if my Truth says your truth is a lie?

37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

Your Truth is obviously a lie, then!

Look, you've obviously drunk the Kool Aid. This is not worth any more time.

Personally, I can't wait for the rapture to come and take all you god lovers away and leave the rest of us alone to our suffering. Most of you people just make me sick.

Do you even listen to the drivel you spew? (Or in your particular case, COPY)

The worst part of it is that you believe so blindly and you relentlessly try and force your narrow views onto others.
Why can't you just worship your false gods of a copied religion in silence like the rest of us?

Isn't Christianity a spin off of religions originating in Mesopotamia, then Egypt, etc...?
Who cares anyway.

I refuse to believe in some absentee father figure who has failed to prove his existence since the dawn of his conception.

No need to patronize me. Your love is not wanted and Christ is no father of mine.

I'm sorry but, there is nothing in this world anyone can say to convert me to share with them the beliefs of Christianity.
