A third party Ron Paul candidacy would have secured an even more massive landslide victory for Obama, as most of the Ron Paul support would have come from the Republican side.

I do not believe that would have happened at all.

Well, he did run. Saying he did not run is a big misrepresentation. He did run and he failed to secure the Party Nomination.

That's not true at all.

Ron Paul did have support from registered Independents and Democrats.

Fact is, many Ron Paul supporters either did not vote or voted 3rd party.

Again I said HIS NOT CHOOSING TO RUN 3rd party was disappointing, there is no "big misrepresentation" you saying i said as much is the misrepresentation.

That is not what you said in the words I quoted.

Perhaps you should read the quote again, those are your words.

Goodness gracious Mr. Wendell this thread I started I said his not running 3rd party was disappointing, and I repeated that many times now.

Yes I did not say that exactly in that quote but its quite obvious that is my overlal sentiment in this thread.

Me, as an outsider, not american citizen, I see it and always considered RP part of the theatre you call presidential elections. The US government is hi-jacked for decades now and TPTB will decide who will be the next president. With other words... its a scam.

If it quacks like a duck, looks like a duck and walks like a duck it is most certainly not a cow.

Huh this is not even close to being ripped to pieces.

My original statement is true it was and is disappointing that Ron Paul did not run 3rd party. Most people have and do agree with that statement.

Yup :-) I guess I was living under the delusion that he would reconsider and come through and run.

I was planning to vote for Ron Paul. I still respect him, but I was very disappointed, and let down by the way his campain ended. It wasn't how I would have played it. He ran a good campaign up until the convention. He was outstanding in all the debates. I have very little doubt he would have beat Oboma. It's obvious he was cheated by the republican party everyway possible. Plus they changed the rules after the game began. This doomed Romney to lose, but they were so arrogant they probably didn't even consider it. We said all along he couldn't win without us, and after the votes were counted, that turned out to be gods truth. Romney was struck down by a bad case of instant karma. But I wasn't happy about it, because the whole country lost that day.

Where my disagreement begins is at the point of the convention. When the republicans shut him out of the convention, and because of all their other cheating, he should have held a press conference proclaiming he had proof of republican party corruption, and henceforth his decision to run third party. That would have made this election very interesting. I think he made a big mistake not doing it..

But I give him the benefit of a doubt. He may have had a good reason for doing what he did. He could have been threatened. by someone above the law. He might have known something we don't. Maybe it was just a bad decision. We may never know.

And even if he won the election, we're probably screwed anyway, because it may altrady be too late for anyone to save our country..

Have a nice day

I was wondering what Ron Paul would say in his rant at this point. It may just go like this.

"I have been at this for decades. Decades I tell ya. Trying to get the silly fools to open their god damn eyes but no. They keep them wired shut.

I'm tired, obviously there is turning it around. Too late anyhow any way you look at it. Were gonna have to let it all go down the toilet before we can ever start to rebuild.

I think I'll just retire, sit back, enjoy a few beers and watch it all slide downhill like a freight train."

Wouldn't it be funny if that was the reason why Romney lost. LOL, but we all know the real reason was because a Hurricane prevented voters from going to the booth in a prominent Democrat region?

Maybe we should start to look at the message and not the man or women saying it.
Until we do this simple thing we will just sit and spin our wheel like a hamster in a cage.

TPTB want us to follow the man and not the message and you want to know why? Because they can then tear the the man down with propaganda and then the message becomes a mute point.

I don't know if he / she voted for Romney but I sure did. Now I'm mad at everything and everybody! Anything that goes wrong in the next four years is the fault of Obama and all of his brainwashed followers.
