So today is the 10th of the 11th month of the year 2012. This is quite an interesting date and when I thought of this, which is pure logic in essence, I started thinking about next year where we will have another sequence of numbers being the 11th day of the 12th month of the year 2013. If 2014 comes along, it will be the end of the calendar sequences until the year 2101 when calendar sequences resume. Just for that it's an interesting time to be living in, though it might seem insignificant to many.

That's all I wanted to point out. Thank you!

It may seem insignificant to many because our calender is insignificant to many.

The only bad thing that will come of 2012 is Obama was re-elected.
Other than that, it will be just another year.

(and this problem won't be just America's problem. The ramifications will reach around the world.

Surely it would have been less effort and less of a waste of time to say nothing?

I do think it's pretty neet that we got to see repeating numerical sequences in our calendar over the past twelve years, but appart from being neet... its just uneventful.. It would've been interesting if strange things did happen though...

I'm assuming you didn't take the 8 seconds neccessary to read the op, so I will quote it for you....

Now I am dyslexic, so maybe I missed it... but no where in there is he saying ... well, anything really. Just pointing out that we were alive to see these dates come and go. One more thing that makes this point in time a little more interesting...

The OP is only late if s/he is American. Here in the UK today's date is written as 10/11/(20)12.

Only if you use the MM-DD-YY format. Others use the DD-MM-YY format. They will have 2 more years, ending with 12-13-14.

Thank you for paying attention

Numerology is completely mindless. If you want to create a sequence then you get:

12-13-14

Those that are not arithmetic impaired can produce things for other years

11-13-15
10-13-16 or even 04-08-16

Numerology allows any stupid operation from adding 1 or 2 or whatever to be used. The pattern simply has to catch the idea of wacko to be seen as something.

11-13-17 (sequence of primes)

In numerology anything goes beginning with being sensible.

So why would the Earth pay attention to a date created by one civilization's calendar? This particular calendar has been changed (Gregorian) numerous times over the centuries, tweaked (leap seconds and so forth) and doesn't match dates or months in other calendars.

And the culture that created it was unable to foresee the droughts and other disasters that caused the collapse of their civilization.
