Looking at Apollo sites in hi-res LRO images, I wanted to see if I could precisely match some rocks visible in Apollo panoramas. I think it offers solid proof that we landed there. Below are the images of the Dune crater visited by Apollo 15 astronauts. The first is the Apollo panorama, second is the LRO image. Red lines put in by me to help you identify some features. You can "hop" from those features to match even more.

Apollo 15 panorama:
www.flickr.com...

LRO image:
www.flickr.com...

Original NASA source:
www.hq.nasa.gov...
www.hq.nasa.gov...

The crater is more than 200 meters across, there's no way anyone could recreate it in a studio (especially in a vacuum chamber) with all those rocks so precisely positioned.

I used target.lroc.asu.edu... to access the LRO image.

I know it's minimal, but it works.

Nice s&f they match and the images are taken over 40 years apart!

Waiting for "but they just photoshopped it" in 3....2....1.....

It's very interesting that all the hoax believers are NOT paying a visit here, they don't want to draw attention to this thread we should try and change that don't you think

Oh, they're coming here all right. They just don't want to bump it. They would rather go on believing the whole thing was done with fly ash in a vacuum chamber with Mauna Kea in the background.

I think it's kind of fun trying to match up objects from Apollo photography to the LRO images. It really does add more evidence in support of the Apollo missions. But of course any HB will be in complete denial.

I'm a believer in the Apolo hoax's

I'm not saying we didn't go to the moon in fact i believe were are probly there now and have been for a long time.
I just don't believe what they show'd us. there is a lot of evidence of fake and edited footage.
I'm not 100% sure on why they did this and am try to figure it all out.
This thread helps prove my point that we did go
please don't bash at me for having the guts to post on your thread please

It may be that the hoaxers are correct in their criticisms of the footage that we have been give. It makes perfect sense to me that Nasa and the U.S. Gov't would not have put images of anything that would have given clue elements of the technologies that the had during that period. It was a space race... More than likely in my opinion both the hoaxers and the believers are right to some degree. What I want them to come clean with is the evidence that they found up there proving that man had already been to the moon thousands of years ago. That discovery must have been a frightening aspect once they figured it out.

Well put.
I would have disagreed with you on the artefacts until I started looking at mars.
Now I'm not so sure and think someone has been there before.
And I do tend to lean towards the theory of us have better technology eons ago and we were wiped out

How about this one... we landed at some stage, just not on the Apollo 11 mission.
Good job nonetheless, people got schooled.

Ah, just splashed down in the Pacific on Apollo 8 in NASSP 7 (fantastic simulator, by the way: nassp.sourceforge.net... ) and was hoping for some Apollo entertainment/enlightenment when I logged on tonight. This thread did not disappoint, thanks wildespace, great work!

Care to elaborate on this, I've yet to ever see evidence of fake/edited footage that wasn't presented as such.

one of the most obvious is the cross hairs that are missing and / or only half the cross hair.
That is one of the main easy to prove ones there are many more I'm suprised you wouldnt know about them.
just google it you will see a lot of crap that is unprovable but the cross hairs missing are in your face type stuff.
All reflection in helmets there are a couple of good ones of them to

Crosshairs had been removed in many scans, especially in panoramas that were assembled from separate frames. Also in the assembled panoramas, overlapping of frames can mean only half a cross is visible.

In the mean time, more rock spotting! Below is the crater at Station 10 of Apollo 15 landing.

Could you tell us exactly how many images you used to create this panorama? And what were the NASA catalogue numbers, please?
