Dear Xuenchen,

Good to see you again. ATS will be good for another 4 years. LOL

ON a more serious issue. Take note of what the President will say about the fiscal cliff today. I am damn pissed about his lies. When he mentions compromise, he better bring it. Know what I mean?

I was taken back to my childhood there Xuechen....That cover reads like the MAD magazines. I do wonder how accurate or true it is though. Seems like something the Onion would run. Then it would be funny.

Senseless to "rock the boat" as it were.

I really do not like the use of shock and awe tactics in headlines, especially when it comes to the US Presidential election. Nothing can be gained, besides the sale of a few extra copies of the article.

I believe there was a time when Politics was a gentlemen game, where respect and civility reigned. How far the apple has fallen from the tree, regardless of who this article it targeted at.

Looks like Newsweek is going to have a major problem on its hands. I see subscription cancellations happening soon.

I Can't wait.

Watch for a lot of sneaky language in bills and proposals by Democrats. Especially the "amendment" kind.

The Senate will be baiting bigtime for filibusters (they have done it several times in the recent past).

They need the "blame" cushion to move the focus.

They will want every single chance to make all "nays" look like people hating demons and lamb killers.

It will be "Diversion City" more than you ever thought possible.

A Member made a great point in another thread......www.abovetopsecret.com...

The Left is very "revenge" driven. They L-U-V to "get even" and then take all the gum wrappers with.

Because I am not "young, diverse, and moving forward"? Nice to see you lump everyone in with an all-inclusive statement though. One day you will grow up. Till then, the world is your stage.

You seem like a dangerously crazy person.

ETA: And that thread where you swore he'd lose the election and become the UN sec general and is the Antichrist? What happened with that?

Ah the beloved I Can Capitalize and Make all Important Response. Not only do I understand science (I know, it might be a rarity, but "Republicans" do actually understand the Copernican Model), but I do understand sad sarcasm.

May I suggest fixing this sentence "Cherry Picking a Sentence to be Indignant over is Childish and Misleading." It is truly atrocious. If you have a point to make, make it clearly.

ETA: I will have to say that I agree with you on the poster above. But we all have "crazies" in our camps.

isn't NEWSWEEK a private corporation? isn't it profit driven?....maybe...jjjuuusstt maybe...they are trying to sell more magazines with this outragous cover? even as a person that voted for obama, i can see that.

That cover will surely help to mends fences and bring the country together.

Maybe Newsweek is trying to act more like internet forum posters and photoshop pranksters. Internet-ish bandwagon.

If this is what you think then you clearly haven't studied history. If anything politics are cleaner now than in the past. For example look at the election of 1828. One of John Quincy Adams main tactics was to attack Andrew Jackson's wife.

Ummmm comparing Obama to Napoleon is out of line. Obama isn't a dictator.

Whoever made this cover is a joke.

It's slightly better than when he was depicted as a terrorist though.

Thanks Newsweek, like I didn't feel bad enough already being all those things.

Seriously though, what's up with the George Washington Generals coat?
Are they not smart enough to know Obama was never in the Military?
Should have put a golf driver in his hand, not a sword.
Or a PS3 controller and a kill list.

eta: what's the opposite of the title here?
Young, Non-white and currently in vogue.
Sounds like a TV show advertisement to me.
