Greece is broke.
Even if you replaced all the politicians in Greece (hopefully non violently) that would not solve their problem.
The reality is very simple. If you have an income of $2500 per month yet spend $3500 per month, at some point you will not be able to get any more credit, or borrow any more money. Then, perhaps very suddenly you have to not only reduce your expenditures but also come up with a plan to pay back the debt that you have incurred.
That is what is happening in Greece. Only, the citizens don't like the austerity measures that the politicians have come up with.
This also may be the future of the US. We have a national debt of over 16 trillion dollars with no plan on how to pay it back. Our country may also be facing this problem in the near future.

I sincerely hope the people of Greece really unite & give their # Gov a sound kick up the arse.
That's the kind of spirit and action we need here in Australia.
Difference between Greeks & Aussies is that the Greeks have seroius balls. Pity we don't.
Good on em.
