First, I want to say I am completely bewildered that people on a conspiracy "open-minded" forum voted for Romney/Obama. Is voting now days just an excuse to get off the coach and blindly believe you're free? You think voting matters? Hah! Look at the 2000 election, and remember, the US IS an Empire.

Not one single Empire in the history of man has had fair elections and parties. And yes we are an Empire, get used to it. Rome 2.0 brown baby killer edition. How are we an Empire?

-We have the most sophisticated military in the world
-We have over 900 military bases around the world
-The Dollar, though not taxed directly, has become the primary currency around the world
-The US makes up only 5% of the worlds population, but consumes 15% of the worlds resources!

You think an Empire can sustain itself through elected citizens? Of course not, this country has been controlled behind the curtains for over a hundred years.

Anyway, here are the questions.

Why would you vote for Obama when he has:

A. Signed NDAA
B. Signed NDRP
C. Extended the Patriot Act
D. Authorized the murder of an American Citizen in Yemen.
E. Stayed in Afghanistan (and Iraq for 4 years)

And Romney, well, heh, we all know he's exactly the same as Obama.

I was having a real nice day until I saw the amount of Obama supporters on this website. I even felt a little heartsick today.

So, lets recap.

The only thing I can come up with is that .

A. You don't care about who is elected, and you vote solely because it's "fun" or "cool".
B. You have been completely demoralized and even when you have truth right in front of your face (NDAA, NDRP) you cannot asses the information because you are demoralized. Only when you get a military boot to the rear will you realize what's happening. But then it's too late.

They say people that have been demoralized can't be "woken" up. I think that's 100% BS. All it takes is an open mind.

Anyway that's about it.

And what is your answer? Not vote? I have heard that Dont vote! bit for over 20 years now.. Guess what? It has done no one any good at all.. You should ask yourself who gains from anti-gov rhetoric and who gains from you not taking advantage of your rights?

Don't vote? If it's between Romney or Obama then yes I would say don't vote. It would be a different story if It was Paul vs Obama.

I guess you mean by taking advantage of my rights I should be voting. Did you not read any of what I said? You think voting matters? Voting or not, there is no real election, it's a giant charade. Am I alone on this? It's painfully obvious that elections in this country are controlled.

womens rights, gay rights. minorities, middle class and poor rights.

bring our troops home. invest in alternative fuel. healthy care for everyone. love for everyone. bring it back to the 98%. much love to people who are trying their best to make it out there. much love to the real people. no love for the corporate rich folks who take advantage of loopholes the middle class to make it selfishly better for themselves and not for the community.

much love to you Kang69. sorry didnt mean to call u smug. just felt that way. peace.

obamanos> rmoney if there is no other option.

I ended up voting even though I'm not sure that it matters at all but I voted on the off chance that I don't know everything and that I'm not right 100% of the time. Imagine that! I might not know everything!

So I voted for the person I thought would do the least harm and have the potential to do the most good.

You obviously believe that you are correct that votes don't matter. You may be correct but you also may not be. Each person has to do what they feel is right. What's right for you may not be what's right for others. That might be something you could think about.

So you voted for a President who has destroyed the 4th amendment?

If you know Obama singed NDAA, NDRP and you know he extended the patriot act, and you still support him, the only conclusion I can think of is that you live in a S&M parlor.

People have this idea of I have to vote, like it's a mandatory thing to do every 4 years even if the candidates are completely incompetent.

Can you enlighten me why you would vote for Romney or Obama when they both support NDAA? Do you not know how dangerous that bill is?

And whats with this "well you don't know everything"

You do realize America is an empire right? You do realize that Obama signed NDAA, NDRP, and extended the patriot act right?

Thats not trying to be a know it all. If presenting facts to an argument is being a know it all, then sure, I'm a know it all.

I used to be fairly active here until I started to see the influx of what I can only guess to be college students that visit beforeitsnewsdotcom and post mindless drivel. It seemed clear to me that either they were sock puppet accounts created by TPTB or they truly had bought into the whole left/right paradigm.

Unfortunately ATS members today are politically motivated and not cut from the same cloth the members that used to post thought provoking information of potential theories that required investigation.

Anybody that believes in the Rombama/Ryden ticket clearly hasn't done their homework and is missing the big picture (or conspiracy, after all, this is a conspiracy website.)

Obama is the lesser of 2 evils.

He is more palatable

He doesn't make people's skin crawl when they look at him

The rest of the world don't hate America as much with him in charge.

Women and Gays are much better with Obama as POTUS (whereas Romney they would not be)

On pretty much everything else, they are the same.... Drones, war... all that crap.

So it really is down to who is more palatable and who is going to appeal to and look out for, more of society?

And that is going to be Obama.

Oh yeah, and he's "cool"

I don't understand the voting for the lesser of 2 evils at all.

If you voted for Obama, you support NDAA, NDRP, and the extension of the patriot act. If you support those laws, take a time machine back to Soviet Russia and live there, but don't make my life hell.

Yeah it's "one of these threads". It's important that people who voted in Obama know that they support the destruction of the 4th amendment.

Know what? Your avatar tells me all I need to know about you. There's just no way to intelligently converse with you. NDAA was signed in almost a year ago. Americans still have their guns. There aren't hoards of Americans being detained indefinitely. People (like you) can still criticize the president and the government -- no one has come banging on your door to take you away. You still have all your freedoms. The fear mongering has got to stop.

GO OBAMA!!!!!!!!

woah woah woah, lets slow down here. You can tell my intelligence level from my avatar?

Anyway, NDAA was signed a year ago, and, your point is what exactly?

If MSM was silent about NDAA, what makes you think that they would tell us about the arrests?

And people like me can criticize the gov.? Yeah, thats what every citizen in America should be doing on a 24/7 basis!

All my freedoms? You do realize that the 4th amendment is gone right? You're ok with the fact that at any time you can be arrested indefinitely on just suspection?

What makes you think that people wont start getting arrested in the future? You're willing to take that risk?

I'm completely flabbergasted by your post.
