For 20 some years from the 1970’s to the 1990’s social unrest and urban blight in depressed areas like Detroit saw the rise of serious vandalism,
arson and violence on or around Halloween each year. This phenomenon was called “Devils Night” and later prompted a community outcry and response
called “Angels Night” that eventually toned down the violence and destruction.

Could the outcome of the 2012 Presidential Election trigger widespread social unrest, violence, arson, etc?
We are already seeing threats…..but how real is the danger? Is it hype? Is it real? Is it organized by TPTB to facilitate chaos and institute
martial law and a police state?

All hype aside if Obama loses the election any isolated event could become the “stresser” that kicks off a firestorm of violence that could spread
from city to city very quickly. The US has been spared the type of “spontaneous protest / uprisings” that have occurred in nearly all
industrialized nations over the last two years. These events are usually centered around major events like elections or legislation to enact austerity
measures by a new administration. It doesn’t take a stretch of the imagination to see the potential for a protest over something like “harsh
conditions related to Hurricane Sandy survivors” grow into a nationwide governmental repudiation.
This “Devils Night” violence would likely continue unabated until National Guard or Military intervention or “Angels Night”.

The odds of violence seem much less likely if Obama is re-elected but maybe that’s just my impression but other industrialized nations have already
experienced widespread civil unrest and our number may be up next.
IMHO it’s a good time to ensure you have a bug out bag, full tank of gas and a sure route of egress from whatever major city you live in.
Good luck, go vote…..and keep your eyes and ears open!
