Really ???

Was having a hard day with hubby after facing some ridiculous bureaucratic crap from the Australian Health Department.

We are in our mid 40's and wanted to RAGE Against the Machine...and did so with some old favorite music.

Then we thought lets Google some anti establishment songs like we grew up with in the 70, 80, 90's ...yep getting old !

So what do I find for videos on Google after searching "best ever anti establishment songs"

Spider music and Misty ?
Click her play list and its.......A Change is Gonna Come...with young Obama pic's.

www.youtube.com...

Really

I'm not American..not in election mode.....but is this really what the world has a choice of seeing ?
No Sex Pistols
Public Enemy
Midnight Oil
Rage Against the Machine
Pearl Jam
Dylan

There is so MUCH music to give us motivation and help release our frustration...Brittany Spears is mentioned before clicking the click here button ! What !!!!

Wow...I must be crazy tonight..I don't usually get involved in forums due to those that live under the bridge...but who's really in control ?
The Net is Becoming a very Freaky Place when this is the best I get on Search. !!

The lyrics:

The war for the Internet has begun.
Hollywood is in control of politics.
The Government is killing innovation.
Don't let them get away with that.

I have a dream, like Dr. King,
this is the time to stand up and fight.

By any means, if we dont do anything,
they will just blame it on the copyright.

Keep this movement going.
Keep this movement tweeting.
Keep this movement moving.

The pursuit of happiness.
Happiness. Happiness. Happiness.
The pursuit of happiness.

Let's get together, lets all unite,
or they will do whatever they like.

Let's get together, lets all unite,
or they will do whatever they like.

What about free speech, Mr. President?
What happened to change, Mr. President?
Are you pleading the fifth, Mr. President?
Are you going to fix this, Mr. President?

We must oppose, don't vote for those,
who want to take us back in time.

We must expose, the people who chose,
to turn innovation into crime.

Let's get together, lets all unite,
or they will do whatever they like.

Let's get together, lets all unite,
or they will do whatever they like.

What about free speech, Mr. President?
What happened to change, Mr. President?
Are you pleading the fifth, Mr. President?
Are you going to fix this, Mr. President?

Hollywood marionettes,
taking over our Internet,
don't let them get away with that,
don't let them get away with that.

It starts with you and me
we will make history.

It starts with you and me
we will make history.

Let's get together, lets all unite,
or they will do whatever they like.

Let's get together, lets all unite,
or they will do whatever they like.

What about free speech, Mr. President?
What happened to change, Mr. President?
Are you pleading the fifth, Mr. President?
Are you going to fix this, Mr. President?

Hey, if your ausssie what about The John Butler Trio? Their first couple of albums produced some of the best anti-establishment songs since the days of the Oils. Listen to the double Live CD titled Living- Awesome.

Unfortunately, the trio in its original form didn't get much airplay as the MSM establishment isn't too keen on the idea of anti-establishment anymore - bad for business.

I really love John Butler Trio and also Xavier Rudd.

.I was just really more shocked that when I Googled the top anti establishment songs the top choice was this Misty thing with political link.

it my be out of your realm of music, but there are many punk bands from the mid/late 90's thtough the 2000's that are all about what you are looking for

nofx
pennywise

the best anti establishment band around is Anti-Flag imo, great musical ability and clear concise messages.
