A small journey through space and time

we walked along a path of grime

in this madness all I see

the potential of a growing tree

it sprouts and flowers every year

this feeling it is never clear

and confuses the things you hear

please be aware of unknown fear

for all I have it isn't much

a gentle kiss, forbidden touch

now that's gone I know what's left

a friend I trust till my dying breath

This poem is superbly written. I read a lot of poetry and this one is a stand out in my opinion. Great use of symbolism, form and flows well. Very nice. S+F.

Yeah I agree with the other posters here.. You have great rhythm in this poem. It reads so smooth! I really think this is a great submission, and you are a gifted writer! Do you write lyrics? Are you into music. From reading that you give me the sense you would be great with music lyrics.

Great work!

Not really I'm not a very musical person when it comes to writing i tend to focus more on fiction and philosophy but i have been writing poems since i was a kid....

i do enjoy listening to music it helps me focus and i find it can be an excellent way of breaking through writers block

Thank you everyone for your kind words

Hmmm, well take it from a musician. I know lyrical talent when I read it. You may want to consider trying your hand at some song lyrics. You might surprise yourself!

U2 me, if you want any chorus hints and tips. But you have it in you.
