I long for your warmth when your not around,
I look for your smile when I have a frown,
I look for your purse whenever it's lost,
I'd do anything to make sure your life is happy whatever the cost.
You recently bore a child with me, so instead of two,
are family now counts as three.
When I see you I know you see me and I have nothing to hide from you,
you always make me feel free.
I'm free to be myself, free to be your husband,
free to protect my little girl that we've invested so much love in.
The time that I've known you has gone by so fast
despite that time frame actually being relatively vast.
It seems that no matter how much time goes by,
my friends always seem to question why I married someone despite my young age,
and I can't help but feel that may never change but it doesn't matter if it changes or not
I'll be here because you're all that I've ever wanted and you're all that I've got.
The toils and troubles we find I will forever conquer,
my love for you shall never falter.
My strength is only challenged by yours,
if you are the ocean then I am the shore.
If you're the tornado, I am the lightning,
if I am the sword, you are the viking.
Without you, I don't amount to much,
and without me, your reality has a harsh touch.
May our strengths forever remain intertwined
as our lives age together like a fine wine.
